videos of mady "crawling"

this is mady's version of "crawling." she has totally skipped the whole being on her hands and knees and instead scooches on her butt. we are pretty sure she will go straight from this to standing up and walking. she tries to stand up now. but as she holds onto the table she doesn't know yet to straighten her legs and they just slide underneath the table. she'll get as far as getting her butt off the ground and then her legs slide and she plops back on her bum. she tries so hard. wish you could see the determination on her face. she says a ton of words now. i am not sure if in any of these videos she says anything but i know the other videos i got that were too big to download she is saying "duck" and "fish." she also is saying "thank you," "mama," "dada," "please, "yes" and will shake her head no. and like any baby, she loves to babble and gab.

mady just loves this swing...as you can tell. it's still too cold to put it outside right now, so tony found a way to put it in our doorway but detachable so it's not in the way when she is not in it. i also have a video of her version of crawling to show you but photobucket is not letting me download it. as soon as i get it to work either on photobucket or anther website, i'll be sure to post it. (kl, maybe you can help me with that. i know you download videos to another website and maybe that one will work for me. what other sites do you use and how do i do it?) it's a must see video!! for now, i hope you enjoy this video and find it as cute as we do and as fun as she does!!

Mady's hair is just long enough so I can put pigtails in it and it is so adorable. She hates it when you do it but she just needs time to get used to it. I have to admit, it is much cuter in real life because you see it better and at the best angle but for now the picture will have to do for all you guys until you can see the real thing.

A video of Mady playing with Teddy, Cada & daddy. She loves those dogs and loves to play with them, esp when you wrestle with them, she thinks it's the funniest thing to watch.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

HAPPY 9 MONTH BIRTHDAY, MADISYN KATHRYN!!!!!!!!!

Her existence has been known for 487 days or 18 months (I know the exact day when I found I was pregnant and it was Oct. 11th, 2005). Mady has now been alive for as long as it took for her to develop and grow inside me. Every parent says this, but they grow up way too fast, esp when you think of it that way! Where has my little baby gone?!?! She's doing all these big girl things. Like eating off our plates, talking, signing, even her expressions are of a big girl, her laugh, she's teaching herself to crawl (she has a long way to go still!), just by look in her eye, I can see my baby fading and my little girl growing!! I wish I had more time with her at this age but I am also so excited to watch her grow to be a young woman who someday will also be a mother and have a baby of her own to watch grow. Oh, the joys of being a mother!! I couldn't ask for more!

where have i been???

i haven't been off in some warm, sunny weather on vacation!! i haven't been in the hospital!! i even have had access to a computer!! i just simply have not blogged for 3 and a half weeks. no excuses, no reasons, just haven't blogged. now that that's been said, what has been going on in the life of tony, michelle and madisyn denault? at some point in the last 3 weeks we have all been sick. we take turns. tony's been working and taking care of things that need to be done when she is home. i've been working. i've been shopping. i've been studying. i've been cleaning. i've been doing some scrapbooking but not much (studying comes first!!). mady's been growing. she is almost 9 months old (6 days away). bad weather comes and goes. i heard on the news today that they are bumping up turning the clocks forward this year. it wasn't supposed to happen for another 3 weeks but on the 11th it will be done. and instead of in october, like always, the clocks will be turned back an hour in november. besides constantly being tired from early mornings, then taking care of mady when i get home and getting less sleep than i need, life is good!! i wouldn't trade any of it. speaking of being tired and dreading getting up at 5am, i must be off to bed. it wasn't a long post but i figure it's better than nothing! so deal with it!! :)
