as the saying goes.....

....."better late than never!!!" we finally got some snow. we only hope it stays long enough so we can play and snowboard and do all the winter snow events that we have missed out on to this point. the dogs sure are enjoying the snow, especially cada since this is her first experience with snow. it looks more funny all covered on teddy cause you can actually see it on him compared to cada who is already light and you can't see the snow stuck to her face as well.
tony and i went on a date on thurs and saw "pursuit to happyness." what a tear jerker but i resisted since we were in a theater! it was such an excellent movie. definitely go see it when you get a chance.
got more christmas pictures to post and will do that real soon.
tony leaves tomorrow morning to go back to work. he has been off since dec 12th. but he will be back on the 1st. yup, only a one day trip and it so happens that one day is new year's eve....that totally sucks!!
mady's been "sick." i use that word cautiously cause we don't know if she is actually sick or teething or just in a mood that we are not used to it. she's had a fever since thurs afternoon but we are controlling it with infants tylenol and motrin, been a little pukey, and fussy (esp at bedtime). usually she knows her routine real well...after bath, bedtime. but the last two night she will fight sleep and scream when you try to get her to sleep and it will last an hour and a half to 2 hours. then we will finally get her to sleep around 9 and she wakes up again between 10-12 and yells and screams when you try to get her back to sleep. she'll be up til 2am sometimes. and she's not hungry when she wakes up, her fever isn't bad, she's not puking, she's just awake and therefore we are awake also! we'll see how today goes to see if she needs to go to the emergency room since it is the weekend and our doctor isn't in.

Mady at Christmas. This is just the stuff from her stocking. She was sleeping before I got a chance to take a picture of her with all her other toys from the tree. You can't see it but her outfit says "Baby's First Christmas" and Maigan has a matching one.

(P.S. In my list of things we got in my other post, I forgot to mention the soother daddy bought her. It looks like two buck teeth. Needless to say, I will not be taking her out in public with that soother!!! :) HAHA)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!
we were up at 5 am to open presents. usually it's me who wakes everyone up to do stockings but i guess this year mady was so excited she woke us up. it's a good thing, i was so out of it, if she didn't wake up who knows what time we would have gotten up. i forgot to take a picture of all our presents once they were all opened and since there were so many of them, i didn't want to get them all out again. but i did get a picture of the tree with all the presents when they were still wrapped and pix of our mantle of the stockings empty and filled. so i will try to remember everything we got. me: robe, slippers, a ring with a heart that tony got engraved esp for me, season 3-6 of "king of queens", alot of scrapbooking stuff (embossing tool and templates, stickers, album, pens, ruler with blade for straight cuts, some other type of cutting tool, glue, corner punch), candy and treats, canada hat and gloves, stuff for nursing (bag, pin, clipboard with calculator, pens, "chicken soup for the nurse's soul", rn reference book, nurses calendar), books ("the lost boy & a man named dave" which are part of a trilogy and i would recommend to everyone to read them. the 1st one is called "a child called it"), track pants, xmas socks, pj pants, massager for my rocking chair, gift certificate for red lobster and victoria's secret, heated blanket, stand mixer, and i think that's it but i apologize if i missed anything. tony: shopvac, robe, helicopter flying controller, track suit, dads dalendar, books (a pilot one and "forever odd"), a house design cd, daddy's brag book, sd cards, sd crad holder, cell phone case and stylus', dvd's ("anchorman, walk the line & pirates of the caribbean 2"), paper shredder, matching "bid daddy & daddy's little girl" shirt for him and mady, and again i think that's it but am sorry if i missed anything. mady: bouncing tigger, baby elmo & vibrating elmo/cookie monster, a rolling cow to sit on, soft blanket on one side and satin on the other, walker, situp tub, walking/rolling type toy, clothes, slippers, pjs, car seat, tons of little noisy & light up toys, book ("love you forever" which was my fav book so i hope she'll like it too. we'll read it to her every night), bedtime blanket bear, and that's it...i think. cada & teddy: toys, treats, shampoo, brushes and a dog bed for near the stove. thor: new habitat to walk around in. after presents and i finished cleaning up and putting presents away (which i forgot to take a pic of), i made a christmas breakfast. we had pancakes (tony's had chocolate chips) and sausage. hope everyone else's christmas was as good as ours and can't wait to hear about everything you got.

When you haven't posted for so long there is so much you want to say but don't know where to start. First, I will start and tell you all that I graduated college. My final was on the 12th and our pinning ceremony was on the 16th. So now I am a Graduated Nurse soon to be a Registered Nurse. I was supposed to start work on the 2nd but because I missed my work physical on the 19th, I can't get my physical done until the 9th. So sometime after that I will start work. Kari-Lynn was here visiting from the 12th to the 18th. I got to meet Maigan for the first time and was so sad to see them go. We had a little Christmas of our own on the night of the 15th with a set of friends of mine. It was nice to be able to open some presents with my family and early of course!! Besides the gift opening and the pinning ceremony, all we did was shopped, played games, watched movies and stayed up late chatting. We did get lots of pictures of the two babies together. Maggie was a good sport for Mady poking at her and pulling her ear. :) Not that they'll ever remember, but it was neat to see them interact with each other. At least we'll have pix to remind them of their first time together. There were too many to choose from so this decision was very difficult for me but I wanted to post one picture that was taken of the two of them.
Can't wait for Christmas, which is only 5 days away. We are having our gift opening with Tony's family on the 24th, so only 4 more days I have to wait to open some presents. Tony hasn't even started shopping yet. He has boughten me a few things online but I know what they are because I told him to get them for me for work. So we are going shopping tomorrow so he can start and finish and we also want to pick out stocking stuffers for Mady. All we have so far that will fit in her stocking is a cute little training tootbrush and toothpaste. Our gift from his parents was delivered today and it is a stand up freezer, which we have wanted for quite sometime but had no where to put one. So now that we have one, we have to find a place for it which will probably just be in the garage cuz we have no room anywhere else. That's as much of an update that I can think of for right now.
