Michigan Vacation

Our Michigan vacation was awesome. We left home Sunday night at 9:15pm. Kian was asleep in the 1st 10 mins. It was way past his bedtime. Mady watched movies until we turned them off at 11pm and she out shortly after that. I drove until 12:30 and then slept from 1:30 until we arrived at the border at 4am where they woke everyone up because they had Tony open all the sliding doors and trunk, which meant lights and dinging. We arrived at Curt and Danielle's house at 5:50am. The first day we just hung out. That was my first time meeting Danielle and Tony hasn't see her in years, like since high school (and I won't mention how long it's been since my husband has been out of high school!!) We haven't seen Curt since I was 2 months pregnant with Madisyn. Mady, Kian, and I went with Dani and her 8 yr old, Madison to Madi's softball game. The kids played in the park and sand while Madi played. Once we got back to the house, some of Tony's other school friends were already there for a BBQ. We haven't seen Derrick, Cindy and John since before we were married and we just got to meet Derrick and Cindy's 3 kids. Derrick and cindy had to leave early to get kids to bed for school and John stayed til 12-12:30. The rest of us hung out by the fire and roasted marshmallows. The kids were in bed no later than 10pm. Tues, some of us weren't feeling good [ :) ] so once some of us we were up by 11:30 we got ready and Danielle, Mady, Kian and I went shopping while the boys played golf. We dropped Kian off with the boys at 2pm and then went to Madi's tae-know-do practice. Wed and Thurs, Dani had to work (the little pooper) so we stayed home and did other stuff. Thurs we drove to St. John's to see Brad and Terri. People I have never met before but they took us shopping and sightseeing on Fri. We stayed with them until Sat morning and that's when we left for Detroit to go to the zoo and the Henry Ford museum. Both places were amazing and so much fun. Only pictures can describe what we saw and that's what's next.

THE HENRTY FORD MUSEUM

We left from the Henry Ford museum at 4:50pm and returned home to New York at 1:30am. We can't thank everyone in Michigan enough who allowed us to stay with them and put up with our kids!! :) We look forward to growing friendships, engagements (hint, hint, Curt!!) and more vacations to visit each other.
