HAPPY PRE-NEW YEAR.....

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE...in a couple of hours depending where you live!! we have nothing planned since we can't go out and party since i am pregnant, not that there's anywhere to go to party where we live!! we just got home from syracuse from dropping ofF curt at the airport and stopping by the hospital to visit jen cause she has to work right through new year's. then leaving the hospital we found the spot where chris was hiding to give tickets so we stopped to chat with him as well. i predict we will stay awake long enough to see the ball drop then go to bed. i am tired since i had no chance to nap today and trust me if i don't nap i am not pleasant!! :)

i forgot to mention that one of tony's friends from michigan is coming to visit. he got here last night and is here until the 31st. he flew here on his first flight ever and he's almost 34 years old!! he came to our wedding. his name is curt johnson. we don't have too much planned except to see harry potter. he's here the same time as tony's half brother and family so who knows what we will do and when. just wanted to let you know we are entertaining for the next couple of days so i may slack on the posts a bit. but i will definitely let you know how harry potter is. we were supposed to see it ages ago so i am excited to finally be watching it. we will probably go see it tomorrow. curt hasn't seen the first 3 yet but he says he doesn't want to watch them first before seeing the 4th and it's not like the lord of the rings where he'll miss anything without seeing the other 3. i think anyways.

tony's gifts: miter saw, circular saw, dremmel set, power screwdriver, air compressor, nails, screws, bits, blades, dvd's, cd, xbox game, tshirt, boots, work shoes, books, airplane, and candy, plus all his stocking stuffers.


my gifts: cotton candy maker and set for it, boombox, maternity clothes, baby's first hand/foot print kit (2), body spray, perfume oil, pot holders, king of queens 1st season, doppler to hear the baby's heartbeat, medical and grooming baby kits, pictures of family, willow tree pregnant lady, books, baby thermometer, chocolates and candy, gift card for old navy and a fudge maker kit.


our favorite gifts: my canadian blanket and his t-shirt that says "she's so lucky" with a hand pointing to the left.


when we opened gifts from his family he got: new balance shoes, sweat shirt, track pants, tshirt, gross dictionary and quicken for finances. i got: a columbia jacket, new balance shoes, maternity shirt and pants. together we got a tent, cooking forks and humidifier for our fireplace.

....until Christmas!! can you tell i am excited!?!? :) tonight is jen's christmas party so today should go by fast but tomorrow i don't think we have anything planned so i hope the last day before christmas doesn't drag on and on. and then on christmas day, we will open our gifts from each other here and then when we are ready go to his mom's to open the rest of our gifts and have dinner. i have been ready and excited for chistmas for so long now, it's kinda disappointing that it will all be over within one day which will fly by so fast it won't seem like a full 24 hours. it's so true, isn't it?!?! it's like your wedding day. you wait and wait for that day to come and then just like that it's over and you are dizzy from the day just spinning around you so fast!! and you want to do it all over again but unlike christmas it won't come once a year at the same time. that's how i felt anyways. since i will be helping jen set up for her party tonight, i will be going over early and should get ready for her to call at anytime. tata

furniture.....

here are some pix of our old and new furniture. it arrived last night at 10pm when it was supposed to be at noon. and now in the middle of jan they have to replace our couch and loveseat because they gave us the floor models when we were specificially told that we were getting furniture from the warehouse. we figure if we are gonna spend that kind of money we want brand new furniture, not used. also, we are worried that other people who may have sat on it at the store had dogs at home and left the scent of another dog on the couch and we don't want our dogs marking the new furniture especially since we just broke them of that habit for the second time. despite all these problems, we love the furniture and it is so comfortable.
last night when i got to open a gift, it was a set of 3 snowman bowls. very cute, i must say. they will be perfect to serve the dip at his sister's christmas party tomorrow night. i can't wait until i get to open the rest. i swear, christmas morning i will be up by 3am ready to open gifts and tony will think i am nuts!!

now that we have finally finished our christmas shopping and have received packages from family, we put all our presents under the tree and it now it looks like christmas is only 5 days away. i am so excited. i can't wait to open them. it helped that today once i opened the box from my family, one present from bezsays said open right away and tomorrow night i get to open one from my mum. hopefully that wil take the eagerness out of me to tear open all the other preents!! :) i am like a little kid rigt now who just can't wait til the actual day. fyi:to the right of the tree where the stocking is hanging with the presents in it, if you can tell there is a red and green blanket covering a huge box. under that huge box is presents for tony. there were too big to wrap with wrapping paper so i covered it instead with a blanket. just wanted to let you know that he was definitely spoiled this year. tomorrow afternoon, we get our new furniture delivered. excited about that too. hope everyone is looking forward to christmas....like me!!

in case you are wondering.....

yesterday, as you all know, i wrote my nursing final and never did tell you how i did. i passed. i got a 80. it was pretty exciting and a huge relief. tomorrow, we have another baby appointment then we are going to watertown and we will finish our christmas shopping. we figure it is time to put presents under our tree. it's pretty empty under there. we have been looking into car starters for both our vehicles as xmas presents so we will price them out tomorrow and decide which one we will get. we kinda like the idea of getting ones with a 2way transmitter where it will show you a pix of your car and whether or not it started. with this cold weather, it would be nice. for the past 3 nights, it has been -25F. the weather channel doesn't show any more of that crazy weather coming our way but it's still pretty cold. also, if we have time tomorrow, we will go and see the 4th Harry Potter. we have wanted to see it since it came out but have been too busy with school and studying and work. but now, he doesn't go back to work til the 31st and i have until the 23rd of january off from school. we are both excited about christmas. our first christmas in a house we own and as a married couple and to make it better, next year we will have our 1st christmas as a family. by then, we will have a 6 month old baby. we can't wait. well, we are going to keep enjoying our first day of holidays with no school and no work. tata

well, the semester is over. now all i have to do is pass the final today!! :) i'm off to a study group to study for 3 hours for the test so by 12:40pm today i should be all done with nursing 102 and will finally be able to relax and start enjoying the season!! we have so much snow and i haven't even played in it once yet! well, i will write more after i am home after writing the final but i will probably take a nap first cause man, i am tired from getting up at 6am!! :)

i have been told by now my newly-married sister that it is time to post a new blog. well, all i have to say is i have been up to no good since my last post!! :) we put up our christmas tree on tues and we only have one present under it and it's for tony. i would have more but......i gave them all to him already!! :) (teehee). i only have two more days of school left and then our final on tues. so you can imagine what i will be doing all weekend...studying fri night til tues before 10:30am. tony leaves sat morning so i will be at study groups. this is his last trip before he is on vacation for christmas. he will get 18 days off for the holidays. last fri night i went to bed with my typical kinda chubby pregnant tummy and woke up sat with what they call a "pudge." the last 3 months crept up to me on one night. i look so cute now that you can tell i am pregnant. i would show you a pix but it looks cutier in real life. when i am way big i will show it to you. we have our next doctor appointment on dec 15th. see, i told you, up to no good!! tata

sorry it took so long to write about how black friday shopping was. i was picked up at 5:30am and we went straight to breakfast instead of trying to deal with the crowds and the crazy people. we figured there was really nothing we wanted that bad that we wanted to fight over or be pushed down for. so by the time we got to walmart it was around 7:30 and the crowds had died down and it wasn't really that busy. jen and carol said that have seen walmart that busy on some saturdays but not me. now for i what i bought: i got the digital camera and a sd card for it, a vaccuum cleaner, a track suit for tony, food chopper, some bowls and last but not least i got a lullaby cd for the baby to listen to now and after it's born. they say if you put them to bed once they are born to something they are familar to they may sleep better. that was all boughten at walmart. at the mall i got tony a xbox golf game, some slippers, a wireless headet for his cell and a nike t-shirt, i got carol gloves and a scarf and just need to find a hat now, mack and masen i got magna doodles and lily a smaller version of one. and for christmas from carol, she bought me a columbia winter coat, new balance shoes, a materity top and jeans. jen and i got to pick out what we wanted so she knew we were getting something she knew we would like. now since it was tony's birthday, i had to chose what i was going to give him that night as bday gifts and what to save for xmas but i was bad and i gave him everything. i couldn't believe it the next morning that after a full day of shopping, i had nothing to put under the tree. tony says he doesn't care and laughs about it. so i asked jen last night, when are we going xmas shopping again. while we were shopping, tony decided to surprise me and decorated the house and boy did he ever do a good job. he lined one side of the driveway with candy canes that light up. he bought a blow up snowman, he used the 2 lawn ornaments i bought at the craft fair, hung lights up galore, hung a wreath and put up a santa in a sleigh. i took pix but can't show them to you now cause tony took the new camera with him on his trip and he left this morning. well i think i have written enough for the day. i have to do homework and sometime today i will be going over to carol's. tata

talk about being.....

.....excited!! and not only for black friday shopping but also for all the snow we got. there's about 1 foot outside and it's still coming down. it took a while but we knew it would come. i will have to take a pix of it when i get back with the new digital camera i am hoping to buy today.

(we realized that it his birthday fell on our 5 month anniversary which means christmas will also be our 6 month wedding anniversary. we think it's kinda neat that it worked out that way.)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

today is american's thanskgiving and we are going over to tony's sister's house for dinner. last night, i helped make pumpkin pies and i made a boston creme pie cause that's tony's favorite so we are having it for his birthday a day early. i will definitely be in bed early tonight. i am going to be up by 3-3:30am for black friday shopping so i should be in bed by 8 but 9pm the latest. we are watching the macy parade on TV before we go over to his mum's so i can make rolls for dinner.

i guess i will talk to you tomorrow after shopping.

decorations.....

i had a pretty good weekend. sat i went with carol and the kids to a craft fair and it was better than i expected. i got some christmas lawn ornaments. tony wants to decorate big this year so i thought these would help. one is a santa holding a wreath and it lights up and the other one is a snowman with a sign that says let it snow. i also got a christmas present for jen and chris. nothing fancy but i know it's something they will like. this summer they bought a cabin and it's a sign that says welcome to our cabin. jen likes that kind of stuff...things she can hang up. on sun, i got up, cleaned the house, showered, did some homework, went to town, watched some football. it's funny cause i actually found a game where the edmonton eskimos were playing so i watched a bit of it. they won against the bc lions. then i went to carols. they got a fake 12 foot christmas tree and i wanted to see it. she wants it decorated by tues and for thanksgiving so she asked for my help to get it done. actually she wants all her house decorations up by then, so it looks like we will be busy until then. tony also wanted to decorate while i am on break from school for the holiday. i'll be all christmased out before christmas even comes!! only a few more days til our big day of shopping. now that it is getting closer i am getting more excited. between the 3 of us, i may be the only one!! well, school's waiting. tata

all appointments went well today!! i had my first physical today and the dr says everything is fine. happy to finally be getting the immigration paperwork done and with help. we bought a kennell for the dogs cause they have the bad habit of tearing up the house when we are gone. but to show them we still care we also bought them christmas hats. i attached a photo. even though you can't see the hats all that well, RJ is wearing a reindeer hat and Teddy is Santa. just wanted to write a quick note before we watched "the skeleton key." it's supposed to be scary and to think that after tonight i have to stay alone in the house for 4 nights. tata

i really don't have much to write. it's getting harder and harder to keep this site updated everyday for everyone. so i apologize for the gaps in days. i decided to write today to tell you that i have another doctor's AND lawyer's appointment. it's going to be a busy day. we have to leave here in 30 mins to go to the dr then be at the lawyers at 2pm, which is in syracuse, so it will take us 2hrs to get there. jen, carol and i have also decided to attempt Black Friday this year, which is also Tony's birthday!! for anyone who does not know what black friday is, it's the day after thanksgiving where all the stores have sales...like canadian boxing day. we want to be at the stores by 5am and since we are going to watertown we will have to leave by 4am and be up by 3am. man, that's early!! but it will be worth it. we want to start at walmart and we have heard that people camp out the night before and even fight for deals. it's going to be crazy. well, now since i have written a little for the day, i better finsih getting ready! tata

NEWSFLASH>>>>>>>>JUST IN.

We had our first ultrasound today and wanted to share the picture with everyone. Everything is fine, and the heartbeat was at 175 beats per minute. We are SO EXTREMELY excited. While they had the picture on the screen you could see the heartbeat. We were both very happy, and teary eyed.

tony has been so good to me. for the past two mornings he has cooked me breakfast. thursday morning he made me pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausages, hasbrowns and this morning he surprised me with french toast and bacon. i was up early to get some more studying done before the test and while i was in the shower he started cooking and that was at 6:30am. i am so lucky to have him and for him to be so helpful. welcome to my 2 newest blog readers: jubeephonk and lindsay. keep reading and i promise to keep you updated on my pregnancy and how things are going for us in new york. one more test down and only one more to go plus the final. i've said it before but i'll say it again...this semester is going by so fast. we are off to the radiologist for our first ultrasound...YEAH!! tata

yummy.....to me

well, i had my first crazy craving for this pregnancy. today i ate dill pickle chips and apple slices and dipped them in chocolate pudding. to a non-pregnant person, that probably sounds yucky but to me it was yummy! just thought i would share. sorry if i grossed anyone out. i also did the last mowing that we will have to do until next summer...i hope. i guess there is always that chance that it will stay nice and that the grass will grow long enough to mow again before we get snow or it gets too cold to mow. there was a nice warm breeze out while i was mowing. it was very peaceful. i love mowing. the smell of fresh cut grass, the feeling of being on the mower and just being outside. that probably sounds weird. this weekend has been a relaxing one. i did some homework, cleaned the house, watched "along came polly," talked on the phone, studied, mowed, just basically hanging around enjoying the house being so quiet. just kidding honey!! :) tony left yesterday morning and won't be home until wed night, just in time for fri. besides fri being a day i have another nursing test, i also have my first ultrasound. i, we, are so excited. i kinda lied in order to get it. well, not really. let me explain. last thurs, the midwife asked me if i knew when my last period was and i said yes, sept 8th. she asked if i was sure, if i was positive. i said yes again. since we were trying to get pregnant i knew my period dates so i knew when i was ovulating. she said since i was so sure of when my last period was they wouldn't need to do a dating ultrasound. i told her in that case, i wasn't so sure about that date!! and i laughed. i could tell that she knew that since this was my first pregnancy i was psyched about getting an ultrasound and seeing the baby for the first time. so she set up a dating ultrasound for us. she is really nice and i really like her. i can't believe how dark it is only being 5pm. i know it's because of the turning back of the clocks awhile ago but it's still so weird to see it so dark out so early. tomorrow at school, we preschedule for next semester. this semester has just flown by. before i know it it will be christmas, which i am totally psyched about this year. not that that's any different from any other christmas! well, i guess that's it. tata

a lot of firsts.....

i went for my first ob/gyn appointment today. it was mostly about personal/family history. on fri the 11th, i have my first ultrasound to determine my due date. and then i will have my second appointment on the 17th. both these days tony is home so we will be with me for all these appointments. since my last post, halloween, nothing really has been happening here. the weather has been nice. today it was up to 71F. this is good but we also know that means that when winter comes, it will hit hard so we are preparing for it. today was also our first immigration lawyer appointment. there was alot of paperwork. that's about all i have to write about. since it's late, i am pretty tired anyways. tata

here are some pix of our house decorated and tony dressed up. i wanted to get pix of jen's kids in their customes but mack and lily fell asleep. mack was batman. masen was the red power ranger and lily was a chicken. they were all so adorable. jen promised she would get them in their costumes again tomorrow then i can take a pix and and when i get them i will share them. trick-or-treating was fun. mack got cold and tired before long so we weren't gone for too long. tony handed out alot of candy though.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

yesterday we watched football with jen and chris, new york giants against red skins. in between halfs, jen said to me lets go hunting. so i did. it was my first time hunting. we didn't care if we mised the second half of the game cause giants were kicking butt anyways. we didn't see any deer in the woods but we heard them. she had already shot a do so she was looking for a buck. it was quite exciting. i can't wait until i go again and i can't wait until i get to shot at something myself. we were out for 2 hours and boy do you ever have to be quiet and sit still. no one thought i could be quiet for that long, well i showed them. hen we got back, chris said giants won 34-0 . awesome. i am pumped about tonight. i think we re going to start trick-or-treting about 4:30. tony is going to decorate the porch more and carve pumpkins while i am at school. on sat i did some decorating but also left some for him cause i knew he want some stuff done a certain way. he should have fun. well gotta go. tata

funny story.....

wanna hear a funny yet twisted story.....yesterday morning i got morning sickness for the first time. when i talked to tony for the first time yesterday i told him about it and he was happy and laughed. i think his exact words were, "that's fantastic." he said the more i am sick because of this pregnancy the less they can junior man him at work cause he can tell them he has to be at home with his sick pregnant wife. anything i can do to help, i guess!! we laughed and it's funny now. just thought i would share. if you don't find it as funny as we did, you must have had to been there!! tata

just around the corner.......

well, halloween is just around the corner. i must be the only one excited. i may even by more excited than the little kids who will get all dressed up and go trick-or-treating. i've always been a big fan of halloween. i am going with jen to take her three kids out and she doesn't know it yet but i am going to be dressed up as a pilot. i am going to wear tony's captain hat and his jacket. i know it will make her laugh and probably call me goofy names...but that's what is so fun!! tony is coming home tonight and then he'll have six days off. i hope i'll have enough to do today waiting for him to get home, which will probably be around midnight. i need to do some homework for my parenting skills class, which by-the-way is very useful now that we are preparing to be parents, i could clean the house but i feel like that would be too much work. we'll see how i feel later about accomplishing that. we have my first pregnancy doctors appointment on the 3rd, so we are both pretty excited about that also. besides that, nothing really more going on here. not to delay any further, i will start my homework now. tata

Guess What.....

i don't have much time to write this morning. i had to be up so early and i was so tired that i hit snooze on my alarm clock and now i don't have much time to get ready. but why did i have to be up so early?!?! i get to go to the OR today and guess what i get to see....a ceasarian section! YEAH!! i am so excited. how neat is that that i get to see a c-section. i think also on the OR schedule are 2 colonscopys, some type of tubual whether it be a hysterectomy or a ligation i dont know and then there's always the pain clinic. besides that, i get to spend the next 3 nights studying for the nursing test on fri. how fun is that!! so i am not late to the OR this morning, i better finish getting ready. tata

is he or isn't he.....

the question of the hour...is tony going to make it home tonight?!?! if he does, it will be super late when he gets here, like 2am or something like that. the reason he may not be home tonight is because he was delayed out of philadelphia and had to do a round trip. he's already on his way back to philly, but will he get there before the last flight leaves for syracuse?!?! and the even bigger question.....if he does land in time to make the last flight home, will he be juniormanned before he is already on his way home?!?! we'll just have to wait and see. oh, the suspense!! if he does land too late to catch the last flight, he can catch the first flight out in the morning at 8 something and be home before i get home from school, around noon maybe. but if he is juniormanned who knows where they will ask him to fly to and what time his trip will be done tomorrow?!?! so he could be home anytime tomorrow. according to flight tracker, he should land around 10:12pm but they can be wrong sometimes. i was going to try to stay up until he gets home tonight (if he does) but i am already tired so i decided to only wait up until i find out if he is on that flight home tonight. that should be no later than 10:40 . i would find out a whole lot sooner if he is juniormanned. i was studying trying to wait up but i am so tired my eyes started to hurt and i was almost falling asleep so that's why i am now on the computer writing this...hoping it will help to keep me awake. well, it's now 10:12 and flight tracker is saying they will land at 10:13. this could go on for hours. so thanx for the help trying to stay awake. i'll update you in the morning to let you know how it ends. i'd hate for you to be left hanging!! :) tata

i showed them.....

i never did get my second tetanus shot yesterday. oh, i am so disappointed...NOT!!! they didn't do it to be on the safe side with me being pregnant. so i guess i'll have to wait another 7 and a half months to get it. today, i am going to watch mack bowl again with his league. every saturday he bowls and i am going cause carol has all the kids and needs help to watch them while mack is bowling. then after that, i need to do some homework and study. i was planning on cleaning the house this weekend but the cable box quit working on thurs so i figured since i couldn't watch some of my favorite tv shows (king of queens or yes, dear) i cleaned then instead. i think it worked out better this way. only one more sleep until tony is home. YEAH!!! then he has to leave 3 days later but once that trip is done, he is home for 6 days and for halloween. on halloween, he is staying home to hand out candy while me and carol take the kids trick-or-treating. mack is going to be a dinosaur or a dragon i think. masen is the red power ranger and lily is a chicken. they are so cute all dressed up. well i best be going so i am ready for when carol gets here in 20 mins. tata

"I'M SICK" (whiny voice).....

i'm sick and pregnant...not a good combo, apparently!! and i'm not sick because i am pregnant, i'm sick with a stuffy nose, sore throat and a cough. plus, as gross as it may be, i have a ton of mucus blocking my airway that makes it difficult to breath and that's what is hurting my throat and that's why i am coughing...to bring it up. sorry for sharing the goury(sp?) details. last night, i was in bed by 8:30pm. for some of you reading this, your time that was either 5:30 or 6:30pm. now that's early. besides that, shopping yesterday was fun. i never did spoil myself. all i got was some very comfy slippers, boxer briefs for tony, myself a bra, double-sided tape, prenatal vitamins, a shadow box (yesterday i called it a space box and i was wrong so i am sorry), tony's pens and i think that's about it. nothing to exciting. since we were at walmart, i did look at baby stuff though. cribs, playpens, swings, strollers, car seats, basinetts... they have some cute things. but when we buy that kind of stuff, tony is going to be with me. after school today, i have to get my second shot of tetanus cause i forgot to wake up early and go get it mon morning. oops (hehe)! i don't think it would be good if i forgot twice in a row so i wrote it on my hand to remind me. the baby must be stealing all my brain juice because lately i can't seem to remember anything!! :) that's the last thing i wanna get right now with the way i am feeling. well, i guess i have run out of things to write again so i'll be going now. tata

SHOPPING.....

well, i'm off for a fun filled day of shopping. i am going to spoil myself!! :) well, not really. all i need to buy is slippers, a space box, certain pens for tony for flying, double sided tape...all really small stuff. but that doesn't mean that's all i buy!! and of course, lunch! i'm going to watertown with a friend from school so i am sure there are places she will want to go so she can get some stuff too. it's so hard for people to get to watertown anymore thanx to gas prices. it's funny, this morning even though it's my day off and i didn't get to sleep in and actually got up a little earlier even if i did have to go to school, it wasn't so hard. funny how that works!! wanna know what else is funny...how i have nothing else to say. notice how all my latest blogs are really short. i'm running out of stuff to write. oh well, somethings better than nothing. i better finish getting ready anyways. tata

what to say?!?!

well, i have been 24 years old for two days now and i feel no different. figures!! :) one of my cousins is getting married in only 5 more days. i haven't spoken to her recently to see how she' doing but when i did speak to her about a month ago she was wicked excited so i can imagine how she's feeling now that it is less than a week away. i am so happy for her and kinda disappointed we won't be there. on another note, tony leaves tomorrow morning and is gone until sun. that's right....a whole five days he is working. what will i do with myself?!?! i want to go to watertown on thurs i think to do some shopping but other than that i'll be doing homework and probably visit with his family. nothing more interesting going on in my life to post about so i guess just like yestedays blog, this one will be a short one also. tata

yesterday was fun....even though the football team we were cheering for lost (New York Giants). but not by much plus it was in overtime they lost. carol made roast for dinner, potatoes, squash, beans and we also had bread. dessert was delicious of course and if anyone would like a piece of ice cream cake there's some left over!! :) i got a whole lot more of useful presents. she got me more diapers and wipes, baking pans for cakes and bread, onesies, and a recipe book and holder...since i'll have to start to learn how to cook now that i'll be a mum soon. it was a very good birthday. believe-it-or-not, that's all i have to say for now. hope everyone has a good day. tata

i'm now 24 years old...i am getting so old! :)
last night we went out with jen and chris for dinner and also went to go see the movie, "flightplan." it was so good. it had an awesome ending, something you would ever expect. we were all kinda disappointed in dinner though. and today, we are going to his sisters house to watch football from 1 to 4 then dinner at his mum's at 5pm. we'll have cake and open presents. jen already gave me my gifts last night. they got me books-what to expect when you're expecting and what to expect in the first year. also a bag of newborn diapers and wipes and tons of candy that i like-skittles, sour patch kids and licorice. tony got me a flat screen monitor for the computer. he actually tricked me fri night by telling me he couldn't get home on the last flight and that he was junior manned. he did get into syracuse fri night like planned but since my gift was in syr he didn't want to drive home to go back again. so he slept in the jeep in the airport parking lot and waited for the store to open sat morning. then his mum called me at 11am or so to ask if i wanted to got to canton to go look at borders for the baby room. it was all part of the plan. tony wanted me out of the house so he coud set up my gift. so when i got home and found out it was all a trick i felt very naive and gullible. but oh well, it was a very nice surprise. my cake, like always, is from dairy queen and is an ice cream cake. it was carol's idea to decorate it the way it is. she got put on there-Happy Birthday Mummy-To-Be and around the edges are blue and pink flowers, for a boy or a girl.
well, birthday breakfast is ready so i must go eat now. tata

TOMORROW......

TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY!! :) tony was after all delayed last night flying so he didn't get home. he'll be home today around 1:30-2pm. obviously that changes our plans a bit with his sis and bro-in-law so i don't quite know yet what we are all supposed to be doing together to celebrate. if we don't have dinner with his family tomorrow, i wanna go to a restaurant where i can get chicken cordon blue (sp?) and double stuffed potatoes. i have been craving those two things for awhile but decided to save them for a special occassion. also as a tradition, i will get ice cream cake from probably dairy queen. i only eat it once a year and that's always all my birthday....i love ice cream cake and i don't get it more often cause tony doesn't like it that much. i can't wait until i get to open my presents! i wonder what everyone got me?!?! :) well before he gets home and we go out with his family, i have homework to do. tata

this morning i am enjoying a cup of hot chocolate instead of my usual cup of french vanilla flavored coffee. now that i am pregnant i am trying to reduce my intake of caffeine. it's not quite as good but it will do and it's also a good idea i think. well just before the weekend of my birthday i have another nursing test...so wish me luck. then after my birthday weekend, on mon morning before school i have my second dose of tetanus. what a way to start and end my birthday. you think all the faculty at school and the health center got together and did that on purpose?!?! :) tonight tony will be home as long as he isn't delayed like he has been for the past two days and probably again today once his day starts due to crummy weather. so i guess what i am saying is it's possible he won't be home until tomorrow. after school today, i am going to.....sleep!!! i am wicked tired everyday and need to nap and haven't had a chance these past two days due to studying and it doesn't help that i am up early almost everyday, even my days off. already signs of pregnancy are showing but so far they are only polyuria, fatigue and nausea. that's right no vomiting yet. well it's getting about that time that i must say good bye for now and talk with you more later. tata

ONLY 4 MORE DAYS.....

you all know what is in 4 days so there's no need me saying it. ah, who am i kidding, i know i wanna say it.....in 4 more days it's my BIRTHDAY!!! we are going out with his sister and bro-in-law on sat to celebrate. sun we may just have a birthday dinner with his family. i had my immigration physical yesterday and all is good. now, we just need to be photographed and get fingerprinted and then we start the paperwork. it should be filed by next week. in 3 to 5 months i should have my parole visa then i can leave the country again. it will be about a year until i have my greencard though. it's a long process. tony left this morning for work so i am home alone only until fri. we got his schedule for nov and he has the 3rd so he gets to come with me to our first pregnancy appointment. i was worried that work would make him miss a lot of appointments since he is out of town so much. but we were lucky this time but from now we will need to schedule them around his flying schedule cause i want him there just as much as he wants to be there. my next nursing test is on fri so i am majorly busy until then studying. time to finish getting ready for school cause i am going in early today to get some stuff done then after i'll be in a study group all night and tomorrow preparing for the test. tata

guess what.....?!?!

we had the best surprise this morning. i took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. YEAH!!! we are so happy. we were lucky...it only took us 2 months of trying. we already have names picked out for a boy or a girl and have a cute way to decorate the room that is neutral so we probably won't find out the sex of the baby. i have my first appointment with the doctor on nov 3rd. needless to say we are both SO EXCITED and it seems so are our families. all my sisters know and my mum and dad. his sister and parents also know. his best friends from michigan know and also a few close friends from school. i'll have to tell my clinical instructor cause i'll have to stay away from the xrays at the hospital. but that's all about the people we want knowing for now, i think. i'll let you know how my 1st dr's appointment is and then keep you updated from there. tata

HAPPY THANKSGIVING.....

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone still in Canada. hope you have a great holiday and long weekend!! we have a long weekend for columbus day. only 7 more days now until my birthday! yesterday, we got a king size bed from his parents. so we bought a new suede bed in a bag set from walmart and once we were home from watertown and shopping we set it up and switched with them for our queen. we went furniture shopping and we both found something we liked but we didn't get it. we want to take a look at finances and such. it's made of terry cloth or you can get in different fabrics but the terry cloth is soft and comfortable. it's a sofa, kinda like a sectional but the other part is a chaise and on each end of the couch are recliners. it's a very nice set but it's hard to explain so i hope you all get it. we think it makes more sense cause otherwise we wanted a couch and two recliners but why not get a couch with recliners plus i really love chaises. does everyone know what a chaise is? i ask cause i didn't know that's what they were called until yesterday. i hope we can get it soon. i forgot to tell you...my test results were negative. i do not have HIV or syphillis. phew, that's a load off my mind!! :) j/k we were never worried about it. and also, my next dose of the tetanus shot is oct 17th, right after my birthday! :( oh, well i knew it had be sometime. we may go see a movie tonight cause i got free movie tickets from school. if we go, we will see, "flightplan." i'll let you know how it is if we go. we went to a chinese buffet for lunch today and we are both so stuffed so that's why we are not so sure if we wanna go out again today. we ate so much we were sick but it was good. i guess i'll go now and relax cause i am still really full from lunch. tata

i never posted yesterday to say only 9 more days so i will just skip it. but as of today, only 8 more days until my birthday!!! YEAH!! we aren't going to any football game this weekend but we are definitely going eventually. i really want to see a NFL game. we are kinda just taking this long weekend day by day. today at 10 we are going to watch his 6 yr old nephew and his bowling league bowl. i think it will be cute to watch little kids bowl. then we are headed for watertown for shopping. mostly, tony will be shopping for my birthday presents!! :) i'm hoping i can convince him to go look at the furniture store. we need or should i say want new furniture so bad. all in time i guess.
well gotta go but i'll write more later about what else we did today and what we plan to do tomorrow. tata

only 10 more days.....

until what you ask.......?!?! My 24th BIRTHDAY!!!!! my birthday is on October 16th. and since after tomorrow it is a 4 day long weekend, we may be celebrating it a week early so we can get away somewhere. we want to go to a football game but we haven't found one yet that we want to see. we really haven't planned anything even though the long weekend starts tomorrow but our options are endless. and no matter what we do, i will be just happy i am with tony. before anything can happen after school i have to go get my results from the tests they did on sept 16th. the HIV and RPR ones and i have to schedule an appointment to get my second shot of tetanus...ouchie!! :( and since we all know it has to be a month after the first shot, it's either going to be done on oct 14th before my birthday or oct 17th after my birthday. but even though we may be celebrating it a week early, my actually birthday is on a sun so i am sure we will do something that day as well. whether it be dinner out or with his family. not to ruin my long weekend or anything but i just remembered that no matter what we do or where we go, i do have my immigration physical in watertown at 1pm on tues the 11th. that shouldn't be as bad as the shots though!! :) besides tony coming home tonight around 6pm, i will be doing homework, cleaning the house, making dinner which means i will have to run to town later to get a few things for dinner. then we will sit down and relax for the rest of the night. I rented movies for us, "the amityville horror" and "the interpreter." he's the one who really wanted to see the amityville horror not me. it looked too scary but it is based on a true story. I'll let you know if i pee my pants!! :) i am such a wimp when it comes to scary movies. tata

an update.....

just so everyone knows what's going in our lives since i have not written for awhile. things here have been hectic. and it's not all school's fault either. we've been at the horrible task of trying to close down the pool for the winter for the past month. we just can't seem to get it done.
we have started walking every night and we try to be out for 30-60 mins. yesterday, we walked 1.7 miles and it took us 30-35mins so we may need to find a longer route. the dogs love it but it takes at least the first 5-10 mins for them to calm down and walk nicely for us. and they know when we are getting close to home cause they act up again.
can you believe it's almost midterms already?!?! i almost feel like school just started.
for my birthday, we may go to a football game. since games are usually on a thurs or sun, it would have to be a sunday game. the end of this week is a long weekend, we have mon and tues (10th and 11th) off from school. so if we can find a game that we want to see, we'll go see it sun the 9th and make a trip out of it. it should be fun. i have never been to nfl game before.
so that's all....folks!!

blah, blah, blah.....

well my last blog got through to calicanadiangirl but now bezsays hates blogging. what am i supposed to do?!?! :) i am so tired cause i couldn't fall asleep until way late and then kept waking up all night. it really was a crappy night. the good news is, is just one more sleep (like every other tues this month) and tony will be home. but this time i will be done with clinical before he gets home. he should be home around 10pm. besides going to school today and having a lot of studying not only to do tonight but every night this week before fri, there's really nothing more for me to say. the weather here isn't really anything to talk about either. this just may be my shortest post ever. what am i going to do for the rest of the morning? i still have over half an hour before i have to leave. usually i am on the comp until 8:55-9:05 and then i finish getting ready. but this morning, if i really don't have anything else to say, i will be off by 8:40 and i really don't have all that much to do to finish getting ready. oh well, i'll think of something cause i really can't think of anything more postworthy (if you call all the stuff i already wrote postworthy!!) tata

slackers.....

well, it seems we all have been slacking when it comes to writing posts. bezsays hasn't written since sept 15th. theaterbuff hasn't written since sept 9th. me and calicanadiangirl haven't written since sept 21st. so i am the first one to break the horrible chain of not blogging. how do i know you all are still alive if you don't write on your blog?!?! :) well, i am a little sad this morning...tony left at 2am to go back to work til tues. :( i have plenty of stuff to do this weekend to keep me occupied and hopefully not dwell on the fact that i am alone and i miss him. not in any particular order, this weekend i have to: study, do homework, study, clean the house, study, clean the pool, study, mow the lawn, study, wash blankets and sheets, study, bug bomb the house, study. oh, did i mention i have to study!! :) but to make studying a little easier and more fun, i have a study partner. so i will probably be over there alot this weekend and over the week as we prepare for our test fri. tony just got his bowhunting license for this season and he promised me that he is going to teach me and take me out hunting this year. i have shot guns before but never have i shot an arrow. i've held a bow before and it was awkward and the string was stiff so it looks like it maybe kinda tough to learn. so if i do bad during bowhunting season it will give me more to look forward to gun season cause i know that i can do that. i'm just so excited to go hunting for the first time and be in nature with tony. it probably sounds so morbid someone being so excited to shot and kill an animal but for anyone who has ever been hunting or wanted to go, you know what i mean. so from now on, everyone pick up the slack and get back to blogging regularly. tata

what happened.....?!?!

i had a really good blog to post yesterday morning and after i pressed publish post it said 0% published. i was so peeved so i tried to remember everything i wrote and i retyped it and it did it again. there was no time to try again cause by that time i should have left the house 10 mins ago to get to clinical. but the post went a little something like this: i was talking about how excited i was that tony would be home by the time i got home from clinical but that's old news cause now that he is already home i can't talk about how excited i am that he is coming home. so anyways, today after school we are taking his mom out for lunch/dinner for her birthday and then either all of us or just me and carol are gonna go to watertown for sam's club for some groceries, a scrub shop so i look for new scrubs for clinical and then we are off to base for the rest of grocery shopping. i love grocery shopping for some reason. yesterday we watched the movie, "the longest yard." it wasn't as funny as i thought it would be considering adam sandler is in it but it was still really good. i bet you are all wondering how i did on my test mon. well, i.......................................................................................................................................................................

Good Luck To.....

.....Me!! I have another test today. this one is not as important as my test fri, it's just a dosage calculations test. but i still wanna do good. i am just so bad at math that's it's a challange everytime we have to write one of these tests. oh well, i think i am prepared. besides tomorrow being clinical, which is the best part of the nursing program, tony is coming home. i really miss him when he is gone. it's especially tough being newlyweds. i don't know which i would rather have...a husband gone throughout everyday and home every night with the possibility of getting called away to the office and being at home but doing work or a husband who is gone for 3-4 nights but when he gets home he is all mine for the next 3-4 days who never has to worry about work or the office calling or having to work on some project due for his boss. this is my second marriage and i have had both types of husands and i think i prefer that once he is home he is all mine. it will be really great once he have kids. instead of tony only being able to see the kids every night before bedtime, he will get to spend 4 whole days in a row with them. wow, that's kinda neat to think about...it puts a big smile on my face!! :) well back to business. i better finish getting ready so i don't leave the house late. i am meeting a friend for a review session for an hour before the test. from all of you, good luck to me. thanx for the vote of confidence!! :)

OUCHIE.....

i got all my shots and tests i needed on friday for my immigration physical. to get tested for HIV and RPR wasn't so bad, they just had to draw up some blood. since i have never had a tetanus shot before i never knew what to expect. and now i know why i have never had one...they hurt! :( the neddle goes in your deltoid muscle and once they start to inject it, it stings really bad. it wasn't sore so much until later that night. especially when you roll over to sleep on that side. that's when i really felt the pain!! even last night to sleep on that side hurt. it was pretty swollen yesterday but now that is mostly gone. now it just has a bump where the needle had been injected, like a mosquito bite. and to make it worse since this was my first time having a tetanus shot, they have to do it in 3 doses. the next one will be one month from fri and the last dose will be 6 months after the 2nd. to really bum me out, a month from last fri will be my birthday, oct 16th. since my b-day is on a sun i know they won't be given me the shot on my actually birthday. but it's going to be either before my birthday (fri oct 14th) and then i will be in pain and be sore for my b-day weekend or it's gonna be after my birthday (mon oct 17th) and then all that happiness from the weekend of just celebrating will be shot...literally!!! :) speaking of birthdays, yesterday was tony's mom birthday. who knows how old she is?!?! :) since tony wasn't here on her birthday we will take her to celebrate on a day he is home. tony's sister and her husband took her and tony's dad out last night for dinner at a seafood restaurant. i don't know if she got any gifts. we got her a card and will get her a present at the same time we take her to dinner. she says she isn't much for celebrating or doing anything on her birthday, but i am sure she had a good time. she is probably just saying that to be modest!! :) there ain't much more to say for right now. i gots to get studying and practicing dosage calculations for my test tomorrow. tata

YIPEE.....

i am in the best mood ever. i passed my nursing test today. this was the first time i had ever passed the first test of the semester so needless to say i am so excited and i have no one to celebrate with. :( tony was home until 11:20am and since class got out at 11, by the time i went to the bank, got gas and got home he had already left. but he was very happy for me and also proud of me. to put a damper on my good mood i have to get a test for HIV, a tentanus shot and get a RPR test (for syphilis). no i am not sick, i have to get tested for my immigration physical. this is all routine and obviously not much fun. but since the appointment is at 1pm i better get a move on. i didn't post until now due to giving all my extra time to studying for the last couple of days and since i have another test on mon i can't promise i will have time to post anything this weekend. i will be at study groups for most of the days. so everyone enjoy your weekend and think of poor me working so hard, learning so much, when you are off having fun!!

YEAH and NAH.....

this morning my alarm clock was the worst sound i have ever heard. actually, i am just complainig cause it went off way too early. it's not the alarm clocks fault, i am the one who set and if it had gone off any later i would have been late for clinical. i just need to vent cause i am so tired. my plan was to get bed early last night but we all know how well that works when you plan it. either way, i am up. i may as well get used to it cause it's not like i can go back to bed. the YEAH in my title is for tony coming home today. he'll be home before me. approx he should be home around noon. i hate the trips when he has to return a day later due to late land times and no flights to get him home. and the NAH in my title is for i have my first nursing test on fri and even though he is home, i'll have my face shoved in books and notes studying. hopefully i will have a good day fri and do well on the test cause no matter what tony has leave in the afternoon and it's always easier when he has to leave if i am in a good mood. and then on mon i have a dosage calculation test. so that blows my weekend. today at clinical i will be checked off on my head to toe assessment. this just shows how school keeps you on your toes. that's all from me this morning. tata.

road block.....

it seems i have hit a road block in my blogging process. you all know that i complain that i never have anything interesting to write about. all i talk about is school or how much stuff i have to do for a particular day. i don't know if it annoys you but it sure does me. i mean, how hard it is to think of something to write that is exciting?!?! so that is why i never posted anything yesterday and really don't have much to say this morning. all i did yesterday was homework, cleaned the house and mowed the lawn. actually i did watch on the discovery channel a making of the events that happened on flight 93 on sept. 11, 2001. it was called, "the flight that fought back." it started at 9pm and by 9:07 i was crying and didn't stop until 11pm (that's when the show ended.) it was so sad. i hope everyone who wanted to had a chance to watch it, it was very good. also as a memorial, in NYC, where tony was last night for a overnight, they projected a ghostly white image of the world trade center towers where they still would be standing today. he said it looked really neat. that would have been cool to see. i never saw the towers before they were hit, so it be really great if on another memorial i got to see them projected where they should be. anything else that was done as a memorial yesterday that anyone else saw? as for today, all i got going on is school, coming home to do homework and anything else i feel the need to do. even though tony is done work tonight he will not be home until tomorrow sometime cause by the time he lands tonight all the flights that could get home have already left. so only one more night alone then he will be home until fri afternoon and then the same thing all over again. i have already had my cup of coffee so that's my cue to get my butt in gear and finish getting ready. hope someone has something interesting on their blog that i can read when i get home cause i can guarantee i won't have anything postworthy that would have happened at school that anyone would want to hear about!!

it's never ending.....

i hate having days off when you think you can sleep in. it's mornings like this that i wish i had a purpose for not be able to sleep in like i have to get up to get ready for school, or if i had kids and they are awake this early or if i had a job to go to. my body adapts to my schedule too well and since i have been getting up early for school most days, the mornings that i don't have school my body says wake up way too early. i can't totally blame it on my sleep schedule and what my body is used to, carol did call this morning at 7am to ask if i would go to watertown with her so she can look for a new washer. she is watching the 3 kids and could use some help. but since i was awake so early and kinda used to it, i couldn't fall back asleep. so i give up trying to get more sleep at 8:15 and call carol to say, "i'm up when do you need me?" but of course no answer. so i get up anyways, get a shower so i will be ready when she calls me back, drink my coffee and start typing and then she calls. so i am rushing through this as fast as i can cause she will be at 9:45 to pick me up and i gotta get dressed. i'll write and tell you more later. tata

last night.....

today i went to school for my one and only class and then met tony and his mom for lunch at a local restaurant. tony left for work today at 2:15 and won't be home until tues. since i didn't get to spend much time with him this morning before school it was nice to be able to have lunch with him before he had to leave. soon i will be going to carol's for a tupperware party she is having at 7pm but i'm going over real early since tony has left and to help her with anything she needs to get done to set up for the party. no sense me being at home alone. i have a couple of friends from school going to. even though i need nothing from their catalog, i will be going for the food!!
i am sure you are curious who won the football game last night. patriots did, of course. the final score was 30-20. it was a good game. the raiders scored the first touchdown of the game in the first quarter but the patriots didn't leave their side of the scoreborad empty for long. it was a late night. i never actually stayed awake for the whole game. i made it to the beginning of the 4th quarter and then fell asleep, which by then it was at least 11:30pm. no matter how much i saw, tony told me this morning that it was the patriots who won and by how much. he was pretty happy.
i have to give the dogs a bath before i go to carol's since it is a nice day outside, unlike yesterday. now with the carpets shampooed, blankets washed the last thing to hopefully get rid of the dog smell is wash the dogs. now we'll see what the answer to the question is that calicanadiangirl once asked:who is more wet after givng the dog a bath??!?! i'll let you know.

the big night.....

i have not been feeling the best so i really haven't been in the mood to post much. sorry. today, i felt a little better so since it was my day off and tony is home we shampooed the carpets and couchs to get rid of the smell where the dogs have marked. we had to start by pretreating the areas that they have marked with baking soda mixed with boiling water. while i moved stuff out of the way, tony shampooed and now it smells so good in here. i washed all the blankets in the living room cause the smell spread to them. it was a decent day outside when we started so we thought today would be perfect. but after we began shampooing it started raining and it rained hard. it's still raining now and there's no sun so the drying process will take days now instead of hours. at least we got it done.
tonight is the beginning of the football season so we are going to see the first game with some other people watching the england patriots vs oakland raiders. it was patriots who won the NFL last year and we were cheering for them so we think it was because of us that they won!! since tony does not like the raiders, again we are going to cheer for the patriots and hopefully they will win. but honestly no matter who the patriots played, we would be cheering for them. we will be enjoying typical football food: nachos, wings (super hot), chips and drinks. the kickoff is at 8pm and the game begins at 9 and goes until 11:30 or 12am. we have to run to town to get a few things for tonight, mainly the hot stuff we season the wings with. so everyone watch the game whose interested cause you don't wanna miss it.

up, up and away.....

i know i didn't post for the past two days but i had nothing that was postworthy and i still don't. i am leaving this message to let you know that i am aware my blog is boring and i am trying to improve it, so be patient!!
nothing much has happened since sat, so you really haven't missed anything exciting. tony got home late last night. i tried to wake up for him, like i usually do but with school requiring me be to be up so early i can't stay up like i used to. so i go to bed at 11:30pm and the dogs wake me back up at 12:40am (i think) because now there's somebody in the bedroom. no not a stranger or a burgular......don't worry it was tony!! :) i was pretty tired and out of it so i am sure the best he got that late was a kiss and maybe a quick hello or somethng short, sweet and to the point and then i was back to sleep. nothing better than what i got this morning from him when i had to get up early!! haha, just kidding honey, i love you! so by now i am up, dressed in my clinical scrubs, ate breakfast, drinking coffee, watching the time go by as i post and if i am not careful too much time will go by and i will be late for clinical so it would be best to say good bye for now and finish getting ready. i have to leave in 17 mins. tata

what i am going to be doing today.....

i made myself a to-do list for today. i like to keep myself busy, especially when tony is away. i will start by cleaning the house, then mowing the lawn, then cleaning the pool, then weeding, then doggie duty, then giving the dogs bathes and if they'll let me trying to trim them a bit, then do some reading for my intro to early childhood class. i think that may be it. don't you agree, that i will be busy for the rest of the day?!?!
so far school has been alright...besides the fact that not even one day have i gotten out of there the time i was supposed to. but that's what the first week is all about. tieing together some loose ends. i had to drop my parenting skills class due to changing my clinical from every second weekend to every tues. since i dropped a parenting class i wanted to pick up something that still had something to do with children since someday we will be parents, i thought it would be useful. the only class that would work with my schedule was intro to early childhood. it's every wed night 6-9pm. that makes my wed a very long day. i go to my first class at 10-12 then have a 6 hour break until that class starts at 6. so i won't get home until 9:30. at least i have thurs off so i don't have to be up early for anything. the class seems really interesting so far so i look forward to it.
well if i hope to accomplish everything i want to today i better get started.

it's all over.....

i am all over what happened yesterday and not in the mood to try to explain it. so i am no longer going to talk about it. so i guess you'll never know just how horrible my day was or why i was at school for 12 hours. it's no matter, don't worry yourself over it!!
today is nice and sunny. no rain like they said. but our pool sure is full and spots of our basement are soaked. it's the gas prices due to the hurricane that has hurt us most. i told you yesterday that in 14 hours gas jumped from $2.79/g to $3.24/g but now they are saying they are going to keep rising. great news.....NOT!!!!! how bad are everyone else's prices for gas? as high or higher than ours?
i am enjoying my day off from school, as i will every thursday of this semester. and to make it even better, my day before the weekend is only one class for 2 hours. so on fridays, i go to school for 10-12 then my weekend starts. so i look forward to that as well.
as you can tell all is good here with me, us, school, weather, etc... lets not even talk anymore about the gas prices!! :)

oh my gosh....

what a day....where to begin?!?! it rained so much and so hard that are pool is flooded. i wore jeans today to school and we all know how uncomfortable wet jeans are. i sat in my class soaked. and in one night, less than 24 hours, the gas jumped from $2.79/g to $3.2/g. like what the heck. you know that the ground is full of the cheaper gas and is it covered up by the expensive gas but we are paying higher for the cheap gas. the ways they screw us.
so about my day. you know what, i have tried to type it several times to explain it to you and it is just not coming out right. i think i need to unwind a bit. basically, i will tell you i was at school til 9pm today due to the crap that i am finding difficult to explain to you.

about my day.....

calicanadiangirl told me how to make my posts as cool as hers. you know, with color. so i thought that since i am writing about something not so cool like school i would try to make it cool.
well, as you all know, i started school today. my 5 hour break went by pretty quick cause i had so much to do. i went to the health center 3 times, went to go see my international advisor 3 times, had to go to the help desk 2 times, cancelled my school health insurance, had to do an orientation online, went to the tutoring center, had to wait in the book line for 40 mins, went to the campus store twice and then finally had a chance to eat something. by then between visiting with old and new friends, talking to tony on the phone telling him about my day, my 3pm class started in less than a hour. but boy then it seemes like time stood still. i was ready for a nap 20 mins into that class. it was so boring. it's a parenting skills class. i figured i had to have an elective class anyways so why not something that will be useful. it sure will keep me busy throughout the week. you should see the study guide and questions that we have to do each week. it's like 50 questions dues every tues.
well, now that i am home and done a little work online with my nursing course, tony is cooking dinner and it should be ready soon and then i will be going to bed shortly after to get ready for another day of school.
before i go, since tony is watching the weather/news channel seeing the effects of katrina the storm, he has just informed me of how much rain we will be receiving...up to 6 inches by thurs. they say it's enough to flood small creeks, which we live right next to one. we are gonna get slammed. they are also warning our area of tornados. it's gonna start raining in about 2 hours and not stop for 2 days. i hope they cancel school!! :)

UGH.....

i have to go to school tomorrow...for 12 hours nonetheless. no, i don't have classes for 12 hours but because of a 5 hour break between classes it makes my day that long. i have to be up by 6am to leave by 7:20 for my class at 8 which gets out at 10. then my next class is at 3 until 6. i wont get home til 7pm. but anyways, enough about that. camping was great. it was pretty hot both nights. the dogs seemed to love it. we felt bad cause they had to be tied up at all times and they are not used to that so they kept getting tangled. no accidents in the tent so we were happy. when we arrived they never had a water site which i requested when i called on wed so tony was peeved. we took second best. the next morning they said they had a water site come open and asked us if we wanted it. since it was only one site away we took it so they take down and reset up wouldn't be so hard. on sat tony's mum and his 2 nephews and niece came up for the day to swim, eat and fish. mack caught a 16 inch large mouth bass. we got home sun at 3pm and put stuff away, went to his parents house for dinner, then went out to his cousin's house for a couple of hours to party a little and hang out. it was a late night and since we were planning on going to a matinee it was an earlier morning. we went to see, "the 40 year old virgin." it was good but they wasted all the good stuff in the previews. after the movie we did a little shopping in the mall and at walmart. i have been doing laundry since we got home and packing my school bag. i am preparing to go to bed early so good night and talk to you late tomorrow night.

YEAH.....

.....i am going camping today!! :) even though my hair appointment was an hour and 15 mins late and i spent an unexpected hour over at someone's house while they fixed a tent pole on the tent we are using for camping, i got everything accomplished. the jeep is loaded of everything but the cooler and our bag full of clothes. there's barely any room for us or the dogs to ride up to the campsite, which is about an hour away. since i will be gone, i won't be able to post or comment on any blog until tues. i look forward to reading it all when i get back and i will let you know about my last weekend of summer break!! :(

too busy to think.....

i have so much to do today it's hard to keep it all straight. i even got up early to hopefully get it all done. i have to pack clothes, pack up camping supplies (tent, pillows, stove, lantern, sleeping bags, flashlight, blankets, air mattress, pump, matches, propane, fishing poles...am i forgetting anything?!?!) i have to pack the cooler but first i have to go get some more groceries. i have a hair cut at 3pm. i have to load the jeep of all this stuff...i hope it all fits!! i have to take thor to tony's sisters. i have to pack food, toys, leashes, and doggie dishes for the pups. i have to go to the bank. i need to put wood in the jeep. do a load of laundry so we can take our beach towels and bathing suits. i am trying to think if that's everything. we are so looking forward to camping. we are both such outdoorsey people that we really have been deprived of it. it will also be neat to see how the dogs like camping. this will be each their first time. they go swimming with us when we are in the pool, so we know the water shouldn't bother them that much. it will be difficult to do potty breaks at night. normally they will just go downstairs, out the doggie door, do their business then come back upstairs to bed. but we obviously don't want them wandering around in the campsite by themsleves. so it looks like one of us will have ti get up with them in the middle of night, put a leash on them and take them outside of the tent. i just hope we don't have any accidents in the tent.
i should get my stuff done. i'll talk to you again after my whole fun weekend is done...which probably won't be until tues. bye til then

a quick note while taking a quick break.....

well, i am half done my to do list today...i was just taking a short break. i have vaccuumed and cleaned the jeep. i have swept the dirt off the sides of the pool but cannot vaccuum the pool until that dirt settles cause otherwise i would have to clean it twice. since it will be the last cleaning of the year, i have to be thorough. after it is all clean, i will need to dump about 5 gallons of chlorine it and 4-5 shocks and then put the cover on. i was hoping to have one last swim in it before closing it for winter, but the water temp has not been over 70F and its too cold to swim in. i will mow the lawn while i am waiting for the dirt to settle so gotta run.

another busy day.....

my list of things i must do today is not that long but each thing will take quite an amount of time. i have to mow the lawn (i never got it done yesterday because i cleaned the house first and that took me until 4pm. i was gonna do it after but something was wrong with our washer so i called someone over to fix it and that took until 7pm so i thought the lawn could wait one more day.) i also have to clean the pool and clean the jeep. i need to go to tony's parents house to borrow a cooler for our camping trip. oh, wait...i haven't told you about that yet. well, i wanted to go back to school with a bang so i booked my whole last weekend of summer break with fun things to do with tony. he will get home early fri afternoon so we are gonna go camping fri and sat night. on sun, we will do whatever he wants to do that is fun but i told him it has to be something out of the house. on mon, we are going to watertown to see a matinee and possibily do some shopping. i chose a matinee cause then hopefully i won't get to bed too late. so preparing for this weeekend is why my mon, tues, wed and thurs of this week are so busy.
i watched another great movie last night..."a lot like love" with ashton kutchen and amanda peet. usually tony and i will rent movies and watch them together but he watched that movie on his flight to denver on mon and since i wanted to see it so bad, i decided i would watch it alone. for anyone who loves music, you will love this movie. it wasn't a musical or anything but they had alot of good songs playing throughout the movie.
so now that i have told you what i have to do today, i should get started.

all rested and ready for a new day...

yesterday was a reminder of what going back to school will be like...early mornings, being tired all day. except instead of keeping myself occupied cause of not wanting to fall asleep, i won't be allowed to nap due to all the homework and studying that being in school entails. once i get used to the routine i will be fine. for right now, my sleep habits are staying up sometimes as late as 3-4am and getting out of bed at 11am or noon. i am definitely more of a night person. but once i am used to going bed early anywhere between 9 and 11 pm, then getting up at 6 or 8 am shouldn't be so hard. i go through this every time a new semester starts. now that i have all my supplies to start the semester, now it's just a matter of organizing my binders and packing my book bag. then i am all set for what next tuesday morning brings. my first day of school will be an early start and a long day. i have class at 8am til 10. a break from 10 to 3pm and another class 3-6pm.
to start my day off right, i am drinking my usual 2 cups of french vanilla coffee while being on the computer. i have already fed the dogs and our tortoise, thor. as soon as i am ready, i have to strip my bed and wash the sheets and comforter. while that is being washed and dryed, i will mow the lawn...this time without almost breaking the lawnmower. depending on how i feel, i either have to clean the house or clean the pool. but i have to do at least one today and the other tomorrow. after working so hard, to get rid of the gringe on me, i will have a shower. sometime today i also have to run to town for a few things. first things first, i will finish my cup of coffee then go get the mail and get to work after. so as you can see, i gotta get a movin'.

i am so exhausted.....

without a doubt, today was a very busy day. i got up at 7:30 am to be at the school by 9. and of course, my two friends who i was meeting was late so we actually walked into the school at about 9:30. by the time waiting in line and getting all our books was over, it was 11am. me and one of friends went to get chinese for lunch and left the restaurant 45 mins later for walmart. the next 3 hours were spent shopping and i could have stayed longer. i love walmart. even if i have nothing to buy i always walk out of there with something i decided that i absolutely could not live without. my list for what i bought at walmart today are: white shirts for clinical, a counter sinker set for tony, a toothbrush, 1 t-shirt and the cutest thing was a baby rug. normally i would not have boughten it but it was on sale and so adorable. even if i am not pregnant right now it's not like a rug will go to waste. i can use it whenever we need it and that's how i justified buying it!! it being almost 4pm by the time i reached richville i stopped at my parents-in-laws knowing that if i went home i would have probably just fallen asleep. since i was there, i packed up stuff we needed for our camping trip. we borrowed their tent, 2 sleeping bags, a camp stove, 6 cans of propane to heat the stove, a lantern and other small camping necessities. after my sister-in-law returned home from her first day at her new job i had to hear all about it. she is a nurse at the hospital closest to where we live. it was getting pretty late and i thought i better go home to go check on our 2 puppies who by this time have been left alone for 11 hours. being home now and still not wanting to fall asleep since i was so tired and it kinda still being too early, i phoned my mum cause, i am ashamed to admit, i have not spoken to for 2-3 weeks. we talked for an hour and 45 mins and that's when tony beeped in. after, i spent about 30 mins on the internet checking some things like the bank account and since i had not sat down practically the whole day, i figured it would be safe to turn on the tv cause even if i fell asleep, it was late enough. i watched about 35 mins of tv before realizing how tired i was and sat down at the computer one last time for the night to write this post to you all to say good night. tomorrow i will not be surprised if i sleep in, so don't expect me to post anything too early in the am.

what did i do today

what i did today...??? NOTHING. tony left early this morning and will be gone until friday afternoon.
i am only 9 days away from starting another semester. i am going to the campus tomorrow morning to pick up my official schedule and buy any books i will need for my classes. after i am going to walmart to buy some school supplies and white shirts that i need to wear for clinical. sounds exciting, doesn't it!!!
i was reunited with a friend who i haven't seen or talked to since sept '01. she came across my blog site thanx to calicanadiangirl. so now that we both have blogs and know each others email address we should be able to keep in better touch and hopefully not another 4 years will pass until we talk again!! :) i make jokes like that cause i know we are both very bad at keeping in touch but this should help a bit. i hope i don't get into too much trouble from her when she reads this!!
well enough of my boring day. as you can see by me trying to keep this site updated by posting something new each day, i don't have much to write about. i will try to find something interesting to write soon. thanx for reading this junk!

party time...

today was tony's nephew birthday party. the party started at 2pm and when we got there it was madness...there were total about 10 six year old boys and two girls running around yelling and screaming, "you're dead, i shot you." they were obviously playing some sort of bad guy-good guy game with play guns. once we rounded up the herd, we ate pizza. mack, the birthday boy, wanted to open presents next but with the weather looking like it was going to rain soon, his parents thought it best to do the pinuata (i know i spelt it wrong but it's the thing that gets filled with candy and kids who are blindfolded swing at it to bust it open and make all the candy fall out) first since they wanted it done outside. each kid took their turn to hit it but it was too high and they weren't hitting it hard enough so the thing probably sustained about 200 hits until it cracked. it was funny, as soon as they saw candy fall out of scooby doo they ran for it, never mind the kid who is blindfolded still swinging!! finally, time to open presents. i never got a good enough look at the gift opening with all the kids huddled watching him and even if i did, i wouldn't remember half the stuff anyways. by then it was about 4:30...roughly the time kids were start getting picked up by their parents. i guess the men had had enough with all the noise cause they went in the garage to play texas horse shoes while the women drank coffee sitting at the kitchen table talking. but where are the kids.....???? they were playing outside by the garden with two older boys who were supervising and wrestling with them. what a good idea to invite them!! :) me and tony left around 5:30 so we could have a nice relaxing peaceful night to ourselves since he was leaving the next morning. we watched the movie,"coach carter." which was a very good movie and i would recommend it to anyone who has not seen it.
enough about my day...it's time for bed.

all by myself...

well, i am all alone in the blogging world for the next 4-5 days. my one blogger sister, bezsays, went to california with my neice and her husband to see disneyland and the ocean to visit my other blogger sister, calicanadiangirl, who lives there with her fiance. but with tony home, i will be kept company and we got stuff to do. today, we have help to tear out a wall in our kitchen to expand the laundry room and once that project is finished we have to go to walmart cause tony's nephew birthday party is tomorrow. speaking of his nephew, we are also supposed to be going to see, "Valiant," with his two nephews, sister and bro-in-law later tonight. then tomorrow, we have the bday party at 2pm and the we will have the night to ourselves to do whatever we want!! :)
so have fun to my two sisters. i will miss your posts.

what am i doing today, you ask...??

today, with my sister-in-law and her 3 kids and of course with my husband, we are going to the beach with a picnic and to swim. it's pretty exciting cause last summer the weather was so crappy we didn't get to go camping/swimming or picnicing at the beach. and with this summer being as hectic as it was (planning a wedding and buying a house) there was no time for the beach even though the weather would have definitely permitted it. so needless to say, we are all very excited...especially the kids. her kids are 6, 3 & 1. the two oldest are boys and the youngest is a girl. i remember last time being at the beach with his sister, 2 summers ago, we got wrestling trying to drag each other in the water...with our clothes still on nonetheless. i remember her ripping my shirt, which at that time was one of my favorite shirts. i am over it now but when it happened boy was i mad. HAHA. the thiungs we can look back on and laugh over now.
so with this upcoming adventure, i must go and prepare.

relaxed...

it's nice to have a laptop that is capable of internet. but to accomodate the internet on the laptop you must have wireless internet in your home...which we have both. i can do two of my favorites things. i am on the computer constantly checking my blog site and my two sisters and watching TV...and i am doing all this sitting on my big, comfy couch!! ahhh, all i need now is a nice, cold beer and perhaps a snack but not too big cause i have to save room for the dinner i have to cook for my husband and eat with him when he gets home.
it's good to me...for now!!

i am so proud of myself...

today, by me just doing my duties as a wife, a home owner and a pet owner, a committed reader to my blog site, my sister, calicanadiangirl, was inspired by my productive day. so inspired that she, after a 3 hour nap with only one disturbing phone call to interrupt her sleep, got up to clean her kitchen. which she says looks very pretty. i applaude her. hooray for KM!! and to think my productive day isn't quite over. how will she ever keep up!! :) now that my husband is on his way home, i not only have to cook for him so he can eat, i'll have to reclean my kitchen which will most definitely get dirty again with all the cooking that will be going on in there. maybe i should have my sister clean it for me. after all, apparentely, she did a wonderful job cleaning hers.

as i sit in a state of thought not knowing what to write, i drink french vanilla flavored coffee (that's my favorite) staring at the screen and keyboard. i am on the phone with my other blogger sister talking about what i should write. she told me my first post was more interesting than hers but i realize that's all i got. i got nothing more to write. so i wasted all my good stuff on one blog. her and my other sister, who also blog, seem to have no trouble finding something to write. so why me??
i will tell you about my day...i was going to clean the house then turned on the vaccuum to find the belt was broken, so i swept the whole house, which works out well cause only one room in our house is carpeted i just vaccuum the hard wood floors cause it is easier...but not today. after cleaning the house it was time to clean our pool...it was dirty. while i cleaned the pool i noticed alot of dog pooh around the pool and deck so then i was on doggie duty. while doing that i noticed there were alot of weeds around the pool and deck so i weeded. after i was so hot i thought it was time to come inside. since i had not eaten all day yet, i ate some ritz crackers with jalapeno cheese (also one of my favorites) and chips with dip. now i will sit down and relax until my honey gets home from the airport...which should be around 1230am...i know it's a long way away. but at least i have something to look forward to...and as for you after reading this boring, drawn out blog i know you wil be looking for something much more interesting to do.
