sliding and boo boos

she has gone from walking to going up and down her slide by herself. it's fun to watch them advance from one thing to another. once they start, there's no stopping them!! she is so much fun now. she chases after us, she runs from us, her personality is really starting to show through. she's now our little helper. she'll put her dirty diaper in the trash after she is changed. pretty soon we can ask her to get us a drink from the fridge or the remote!! :) she is trying so hard to talk. she babbles alot and then there's things we understand. she knows ball and loves to play with one rolling it back and forth or trying to get it away from the dogs. the pictures are of her first boo boo. i was on the treadmill and she got on with me. totally my fault but she seems to love the treadmill even more now since it has happened. she got a rug like burn on her face, her left elbow, inside of her right upper arm and her right leg. it happened on sunday so it has had some days to heal. it looked a lot worse but she is okay. the worst of it is in the morning and her hair is stuck in it cause it gets dried over night. besides that, she doesn't mind if we touch it to put neosporin on it.

the time has arrived.....

it is finally time for you too see mady walking. she is so darn cute with her drunken, penguin like wobble. i love to watch them start walking. all staggered and such. she's such a pro and pretty fast for a first timer. she goes everywhere. i can't wait til we go to the mall or shopping next and have her walk beside me. i hope she obeys cause i don't wanna be one of those parents who have their kids on a leash!! :) she has a friend, ninah, who is 19 months old and has been walking since before her 1st birthday and everytime we went out together i couldn't wait til mady was walking and the girls could play with each other now that mady can keep up with ninah. now we just need to set up another play date!

Mady REALLY walking....

i guess i spoke a little too soon when i commented on bezsays blog early this morning saying mady CAN walk but prefers to scoot because today while i was at work and grandma was watching mady, she started walking everywhere. no scooting and no wanting help by holding your hand. she loses her balance every now and then but she stands right on up and goes for it again. i am now officially a mother of a toddler. she will no longer be my baby when she doesn't take a bottle or wear diapers. how fast they grow up. we are so ready for another newborn and can't wait to have more kids. i had a video to post to show you but apparantly it is 1mb too long. photobucket and youtube only allow 100mb to be downloaded and her walking video was 101mb. i goggled free video hosting to find another site that would allow a longer video to be downloaded but found nothing and/or i got sick of looking and signing up for sites i would never use. i could have made another video of her walking but she was already in bed so i guess it will have to wait a day until you all can share in my joy. i just thought it was so ironic the same day i mention on kl's blog how mady loves to walk and can do it but won't, no more than 3 hours later she's doing it all on her own.

mady walking

here'a a video of mady walking. she walks but is not walking. does that make sense?!?! that's maybe the 4rd time she has done that by herself. she loves walking holding someone's hand. her walking from the kitchen doorway to the coffee table is probably the farthest she has done it on her own. she is getting more better at it and all she wants to do is walk and will actually throw a fit, like a huge temper tantrum, if you won't walk with her or if you stop.
you all know why i had to share....cause my kid is so dang cute and growing up so fast!!
