it's a.....

.....GIRL!!!! kari-lynn had a baby girl at 6:36 am MST. name unknown, weight and length unknown. they were expecting a boy so this is a surprise to everyone. i had a dream last night, in the whole 3 and a half hours of sleep i got, that she had the baby i just didn't know it was gonna be a girl. i guess i got my wish...the name isn't gonna be umberto!! :) can't wait to see pictures of my new niece and find out her name.

trip was great

well, we have been back for two days now and we are exhausted. it's hard making up for lost sleep. everyone back home just thinks mady is the cutest thing that has hit this earth. and we have to admit, we agree!! we saw alot of people and went alot of places. so basicaly i tired tony right out! mady met alot of of new people and got a picture taken with every one of them so we can always treasure her first visit back home. we really enjoyed our time with family and friends and appreciated everything that was done for us and for all the help with the baby!

no time....

no time to blog. too busy packing and trying to get to bed as early as possible cause we have to be up at 6am and we are hoping mady sleeps great throughout the night so we are well rested for our four hour drive, visits and plane ride at 10:30pm. we will return on the 18th and talk to you again then. have a great week!!

....or is it?!?! what day is good when it starts at 2:55 am!! :) soon kl will be able to join me at this hour and we can blog back and forth if we are both up at the same time!! i really don't have much more else to say and even if i did i doubt mady would let me put her down long enough to type it! it just only seemed fair that if i was up then so should be all of you! HAHA!! besides the longer i stay up, the less sleep i get so good night

thought you might like to see the cake carol had made for the party. it tasted just as good as it looks!! i loved the topper. ever since our wedding i have started collecting figurines from the willow tree (demdaco) collection and now i have this one to add.

hey, me again. surprised to hear from me so early in the morning. it's not like i am the 1st mother in the world to be up this early two nights in a row (or be up so late at night...depending on how you look at it!!) mady's party yesterday couldn't have gone any better. we had a great time. we actually didn't get home until after 9pm. she got a lot of outfits (none that will probably fit her for a while!!), car blinds, bath tub, walmart gift certificate, feeding supplies, diapers, wipes, a blanket, bibs, nightgowns/pjs, and that's all that i can remember right now. i found a different pump that i now want. tony's cousin is also breast feeding and we got talking about some of the problems i have been having and she offered to let me try her pump (after sterilizing it of course!!) it's a medela pump, it's automatic and is only $200+!! :) but at least i know it works for me. enough about that. i met some of tony's family for the first time and everyone only had good things to say about madisyn...of course!! what did i expect?!?! :) well, if i wanna get any more sleep tonight/this morning, first i need to get mady to fall asleep again!! :)

Party.....

i figure since i have to be up writing this then you should have to be up reading this. even though i know no one is actually going to be reading this at 2:40am E time i am still writing it so you can read it later. haha today is our baby shower/bar-b-que at 1:30. can't wait for everyone to see our adorable daughter!!! we have games planned, tons of food to eat, presents to open, texas horse shoes to play, people to meet for the first time, people to visit with. overall, a good time will be had by all i'm sure. mady has now been awake for 2 hours and no where near to falling asleep again, at least she doesn't look it. so it's time to rock-a-bye my little one so all 3 of us can be well rested to party later on today!! :)

i tried my best to capture a smile but they are quick. she'll do a ton of long ones until you grab the camera. i literally have the camera hanging over her face forever after she has just done like a million huge smiles but she quits as soon as i turn on the camera and she will only start again after i turn it off. what a little bugger!! :) but i tricked her to get these 3 shots. i hid the camera but it was turned on and as soon as she smiled i pulled the camera out from behind the couch and snapped a picture of the remaining smile before she had time to hide it just so i can't get a picture! now she knows her mama is smart too and can play games as well!! :)
