hot.....

i never realized how hot outside it was until we went to town quickly to pick up the car at the mechanics and the jeep's thermometer said it was 78 F. to top it off, there isn't much of a wind like there has been for the past 2 days so it feels much hotter without the breeze. it's finally spring!! by the end of may we will open up the pool for the year and then i can go swimming. we sat on the back deck today with the dogs and you can tell when it's been a long time since it's been nice outside cause even the dogs didn't know what to do with themselves with being able to go on the back deck again. besides the weather, everything else here is good. tony has had 3 and a half days off work and still has sat and sun until he has to go back. he was lucky to get 6 days off in a row. what's not so great about it is i have a test on fri and will start studying with my study group tomorrow so i'll lose some time away from him this weekend. yesterday we went to the dentist and not much else to say there. i have a cavity they are going to fill but they won't do any other dental work on me until after the baby is born. i'm ashamed to say it's been about 8 years when i was at the dentist last but i'm doing pretty good with only having one cavity to fill after all that time. and even better for tony. he hasn't been in just as long or longer and has no cavities. the baby's room is only getting closer to being done. we bought a hamper/shelf for diapers and wipes to sit next to the crib. we found the dresser we want at ikea and they also have a wicked cool lamp that hangs from the ceiling that looks like the universe but when it is turned on it projects stars and the moon on the wall. just little things left to finish it completely. no luck finding glow in the dark paint and since tony is going to be the one to paint the flowers on the wall, i'll let him do it at his own pace. i started my psychiatric rotation at the psych center and i love it. i think i may have found the area of nursing that i want to work in after i do my time at gouverneur that i owe them for paying for my schooling. i go to the psych center every wed for 6 hours and actually look forward to that part of school. also excited for easter that will be in 2 weeks or so. but even before easter, i get 9 days off school for spring break. i keep telling you all the things that i am excited for but here's one thing i am not looking forward to. sat night, turning our clocks ahead 1 hour. i value my sleep too much these days to lose an hour. but at least it's on a sat and i don't have to worry about being up at a certain time for school or anything. i can sleep in on sun to make up for the lost hour. phew, that surely makes it worth while. so that's all from me for now.

i'm back

well i am back from syracuse and a little earlier than expected. i have to get ready and leave for school by 8:15. we were up at 3:45am and i took tony and his crew to the airport for 4:30 then i left. only having 5 hours of sleep then having to drive 2 hours to get home just to get ready to go to school til noon is no fun. i feel awake for now but i am sure when i start to feel tired again it will hit hard and i will be knocked out. anyways, at babies'r'us, we got the crib mattress along with some pacificers, hangers, wrist rattle of a giraffe, an airplane mobile to hang on the crib, a baby pilot hat (which is so adorable, i must say) a photo frame which i don't want to say of what cause it's a gift for someone who just may read this blog or hear about it from someone else who reads it but i know they will get a good laugh over it and love it. we went out to dinner with his crew which were two pretty cool guys or should i say one pretty cool guy and the other was....well, we're not sure!! HAHA! :) and the best part, i got to go swimming. yeah. and that's it. just wanted to let you know that the baby room is starting to come together finally and i can't wait to show it to you all.

long time.....

.....no see...but all my fault!! ah, oh well, it's in the past...let it go already! since my last blog not much has happened. i got an 84 on my nursing test. i got tested for gestational diabetes...it was negative. we got the baby's room carpeted. it's so soft and looks so good. so good in fact, that we want to do the living room in the same carpet. it's beige with light variations of colors. a lot like bourbor but softer. the crib will be set up sometime at the beginning of next week then the baby's room will be complete, minus minor adjustments (rearranging, dresser, clothes to hang up, etc). we still haven't painted the flowers on the walls and haven't found glow in the dark paint. but we figure we still have lots of time so when it is totally done, i will take pix of every angle. speaking of the baby, boy is it ever active. you can actually look at my stomach and see movements. it doesn't kick so much anymore as it does roll around. it gets that from me, can never get comfortable. i am going to syracuse tomorrow cause tony has an over night there. he will land at 11:20am and not have to leave until early mon morning. we are going to go to babies'r'us and buy a mattress for the crib and some other cute baby stuff that we may find. i am hoping the hotel he is staying in has a pool, cause i have been aching to go swimming for months. we figure we won't be able to open our pool up until the end of may and that seems forever away when all you want to do is swim. i, we, have cancelled my trip back to edmonton for april and all THREE of us, that's right the baby too, will be going back somewhere around the end of june to the beginning of july. but i'll see everyone soon enough. the time will just have to fly by so it comes quicker. i can't wait until garage sale season. since i have been organizing my house getting ready for baby, i have a huge pile of stuff i want to sell. there's an annual richville village garage sale that last year was held in june, closer to the beginning so i'll sell all my stuff then. carol and jen will be bringing stuff down to it that they want to sell cause usually people on main st have there lawns full of stuff. makes it easier to hop from one to another, i guess. i think that's about it. until next time (hopefully not more than a week away!!)

is it time yet?

i suppose it's time for me to post a new blog. before i start my day of cleaning and homework, i'll try to think of something to write so you all know that i am still alive and what's going on in the lives of tony and michelle denault. that baby is growing and doing good. he or she enjoys kicking mama.....alot!! i don't complain, it gives daddy more opportunities to feel the baby move and since he misses half the month of kicking cause he is away working, he needs all the chances he can get. we went to see the dr on fri so he could explain the ultrasounds and he says there is absolutely nothing to worry about. but they will keep monitoring the baby's kidney so that means at least one more ultrasound. my next ob appointment (17th) i am going to be doing the sugar test. i guess all it is is drinking some stuff then having some blood taken to check my blood sugar levels and see if i have gestational diabetes. the baby's room will probably be getting carpeted sometime this week and then we can finally finish it and set it all up. i can't wait. i'm going back home sometime in the week of april 8 to the 16th. i'm excited to see everyone again. i haven't seen anyone since our wedding and even if i didn't go back home, i would see my mum and lj cause they are coming to new york after our baby is born and my other sisters and family in aug in toronto but the point is, i want to see "home" and maybe a few friends as well. i haven't been back to edmonton since xmas '04, almost a year and a half. unfortunaly, tony won't be able to come back with me because of work and not being able to get enough days off during my break. so i want to schedule my trip when he has to work that week so that when i go, he won't be home all by himself but off working. he gets his april schedule on mon. we breeded rj last week. we never thought of breeding him, only teddy but we got a call last fri (3rd) from our vet saying that a woman called who is looking for a schnauzer to breed with her female. after talking to her on the phone, we became interested. so she came over fri night so the dogs could get acquainted and since this was both their first time it gave them some experience. nothing happened fri, sat or sun night. the dogs just played and got some practice. mon night they latched so she came back tues night and same thing. she waited a day in between and came back one last time on thurs and again they latched. i learned a lot about dogs and breeding them last week. for instance, i didn't know that females only come in heat every 6 months or that when the male finishes, he swells up inside her and they are stuck together for 20 minutes or longer. i felt sorry for their dog, she yelped all three times because it must have hurt her. if she is pregnant, dogs are only pregnant for 63 days but we'll know around april 3rd whether or not she got pregnant. and whatever the first pup sells for, we get for a studding fee (you know, for using our dog.) well, enough about my dogs sex life. i got an 88 on my last nursing test, that's only 6 questions wrong! i was pretty excited. we have another test on the 20th and i hope i do just as well. well, that's all i got to say. tata
