over.....

well, the first week of school is over with and good news....i survived!! :) i guess it wasn't that bad. the only thing i hate is every morning i get up very early and am home somewhat in the afternoon and by then i am tired enough to nap but i don't because i want to get to bed early that night so i can get up early again the next morning. and when you are that tired it's hard to keep yourself occupied not to think about sleeping and force yourself to stay awake. i'll get a routine soon enough so it won't be so hard. tomorrow night tony comes home. monday we have a drug calc test and after school we leave for albany. tony found out that our hotel is only four blocks away from where we have our immigration interview. how convienent, huh?!?! depending on how long the interview takes we will go straight to canada for slushies but since the drive is 4 hours long if the interview takes awhile then we will go to canada on thurs for treats. we have our first nursing test on feb 13th, the day before valentine's day. but for valentine's day since tony is home and jen and chris don't have to work, we are all going to east side mario's in canada for dinner and then maybe a movie or hit the casino. but since i have school the next day, we can't stay over night in a hotel like we would have wanted to do. we'll have to do that on a weekend. well, before the day is no longer young, i better start what i need to get done for the day. that should only take me about an hour!! :) lol j/k

don't ask.....

so much for having an easy going and lite semester. i find out today that the course i spent my whole last semester on doesn't count towards my degree and before i graduate i need to have a humanities elective (ie. an english class or art class), which i was told last semester my parenting skills class was. so i had to add an english class to my schedule and switch around other classes to accomodate it. now i have no days off during the week and not only is my wednesday long but tues is also. and when i say long i mean 7.5 hours including a 2 hour break. needless to say, i did not have a good first day of school. tony was so good about it. here i am all frustrated and crying that this got all screwed up and he kept my head up and cheered me up. it sure helped. he is the best husband EVER!!! i am so looking forward to bed but not to what tomorrow brings.

back to school

this is my last weekend off before i have to go back to school. i really shouldn't be complaining, i did get 6 weeks off for christmas but no one likes to go back no matter what. i am not really sure what i am going to do my last two days but i am sure they will be fun. tony will be home tonight really late so at least i get to spend my very last day with him. he said he wants to go shopping. can you believe it?!?! a man, my husband, wants to go shopping!! and it wasn't my idea!! :) i do have a lite load this semeter. i am only taking the required nursing classes. i have every thursday off and wednesday is my only long day because of clinical. this semester we get to go to the psychiatric center. i am really psyched about that. i have my next ultrasound scheduled for feb 2nd. if we were going to find out the sex of the baby, this is when it would be but since we are not going to find out if we are having a boy or a girl, we obviously won't know until june. which is fine by me, that's the way i wanted it. there are so little surprises in life. we are going to be painting and decorating the baby room in feb when i have a week off school for winter break. that same break, we have to go to toronto to revisit the surgeon who performed my surgery in aug of 2004 because i am having some problems that my obgyn says should get looked at before the baby comes. it's good advice. actually it's something we should have done when the problem first started but we thought or at least hoped it would go away and after awhile i just got used to it so did nothing about it. one more week and two days until i am officially a permanent resident of the united states of america. wow, do i know what i am getting myself into it?!?! better yet, does america know!! lol. we will leave for albany right after school on mon the 30th for our immigration interview. first we will stop in syracuse at our lawyers so he can do a quick practice interview with us. then we will be spending the night in albany and be up early the next morning for our interview which we have to be at at 8am. and after that, i can cross the border as i please to go get a slush, smarties and ketchup chips!! i am so looking forward to my first slush, box of smarties and bag of ketchup chips since before the wedding. yum, yum. i am making my mouth water so i think it's for the best that i no longer talk about i!! :)

pix

i don't like this picture of my preger belly but i was starting to lose my patience with taking one cause i had to do it myself since tony is gone. i think it's a ittle blurry. at least all you folks can see my belly. either once i get bigger or when tony gets home, i will take a better pix.

yesterday in syracuse was fun. at babies r' us, carol bought us our jogger travel system that i wanted and a playpen. again, once they are set up or if i can get a good pix off of the the two boxes i will post it so you know what they look like. i also got an airplane toy for the baby that once the string is pulled it vibrates and makes airplane noises. at jcpenney, i got a pair of khaki maternity pants and a white tshirt. i started my relaxation and focal points preparing myself and my body for a drug-free birth. once i get used to focusing on a certain object and hear this particuar music, it will act as a trigger for me to relax. it's kinda like hypno-birthing. we hope it works. plus it gets tony involved in the delivery process because he has certain roles in the relaxation techniques. so that was yesterday. for today, i am going to the bowling alley with carol and the kids to watch mack bowl. it's been a while since i have been and he's probably a little better by now. and now i think that's everything.

why me????

why am i up so early? well, today i need to be in syracuse for 10am for fingerprinting for my immigration interview which is on the 31st of this month. most of you know that syracuse is only 2 hours away but where i am going, it is closer to a 2 hour and 15 min drive. but if you add it up, that means i will be in syracuse by 8:30am which is 1.5 hrs before my appointment. however, my letter sent by uscis requesting that i needed to be fingerprinted before the interview specifically said "arrive at the time specified or your application will be considered abandoned" and since we obviosuly don't want that we are giving ourselves that extra time to get lost, find the building, park and get inside to where i need to be at exactly 10am. smart huh?!?! otherwise, we are out a lot of money for the cost of the lawyer and to file all the paperwork. since tony is gone, it's carol and her friend cathy driving me so i don't get lost and find my way. since we are there in syracuse, after my biometrics are taken, we are going to babies r' us to look at strollers, cribs, dressers, car seats, etc. also since we are in syracuse, we are going to go to a materity store called motherhood maternity cause carol wants me to look for some shirts she can get for me. but first i need to return some stuff at old navy. then i am sure we will have lunch somewhere. once we get to watertown, we are going to home depot to exchange tony's circular saw cause when he was using it on tues to build me shelves he accidently cut through the cord and obviously it don't work no more!! if we have time in watertown, i want to go to walmart to get prenatal pills, plastic protectors for paper, binder, mousse and some other stuff. but once we get home i am sure i will be napping!! tata

and so it was written.....

it has been requested that i post but i have been waiting for something to write about and now i have something that tony and i are really excited about. i have started to feel the baby move on the inside. even though tony cannot feel it from the outside, he knows that means that soon he will also be able to feel the baby move and kick. it's hard to explain the feeling but it feels like butterflies in your stomach but instead of it being all over your tummy, like when you are nervous, it's only in one spot and it's really light. cup your hand and lightly brush your fingertips from your other hand over your palm and down the inside of your fingers and that's how it feels to me. the doctor says that the mother can feel the baby by 16 weeks and it was on jan 4th, when i was a little past 17 weeks that i first experienced this sensation but was unsure that that was definitely what i felt. it was saturday, after feeling it more times that i knew that feeling was the baby. what a joy for a mother to experience the movement of their 1st baby for the very 1st time. tony is constantly feeling my tummy where i tell him i feel it just in case he can feel it too. he also likes to put his head on my tummy, talk to the baby and rub it. he can't wait until he too will be able to feel his first baby for the very first time. i have a basketball tummy. i'm carrying everything in front. so far nothing in my hips or back. and since everything is in the front, i look huge and round all because it's all only in one place. i am wearing maternity clothes even though i can still fit into some of my old clothes but they are more comfortable and i look so cute in them now that you can tell i am pregnant. i should and will soon take a pix and post it so all you too can enjoy my preger belly but for now i am going to relax with tony before we have to go to bed early so he can be up by 2:15am to get ready to leave for work. tata

babysitting.....

i'm learning what it would be like to have 3 kids. i am babysitting mack, masen and lily for 3 hours. mack is playing a racing game on xbox and masen was racing but now is playing with the dogs and trying to calm lily down with me. she has been crying since 10 mins after she was dropped off. carol told me she was kinda grumpy cause she got her bottle taken away yesterday. i can stop her crying for only secs at a time distracting her with toys, sweets, something to drink, thor, her tea-set that she brought with her, my necklace, picking her up. after mack is done racing we are going to the store next door to get treats and then we are going to watch brother bear. masen sure is helpful. he keeps playing with lily, showing her thor, pretending to fall off the couch to ger her attention and it all seems to be working. i love these kids!! not that you would know the difference but since i have started typing i have had to go upstairs to follow lily twice and we have already been to the store cause mack was done playing. the whole time we were gone, lily was so good but the second we got back it was a different story. you wouldn't believe that i started this blog over 40 mins ago. i just put the movie on so i am hoping lily will sit with me on the couch and watch it. i love having these kids and can't wait until i have my own two, three or four or whatever kids but for now i just can't wait until the first one comes!!
