Among the many things Mady helps mama with, she fed Kian tonight as well. In this video, she is feeding Kian prunes. We had just finished dinner and I left his spoon on the table. She picked it up and started to pretend to feed him and I figured instead of just teasing him, I would actually let Mady put something on the end of the spoon that was going into his mouth empty before. It's definitely not the cleanest way to let Kian eat, but hey, he's washable and Mady sure enjoyed herself.


Besides enjoying watching my kids grow up, working, and having family outings, nothing new has been going on in the household of the Denaults. But to expand on the fact that I am enjoying watching my kids grow up, Kian now says "dada." He doesn't hold his own bottle yet but we figure that's cause he has never had too many bottles in his life because he is and has been breastfed since he was born and now that he is eating cerals, fruits and veggies, he doens't need bottles when either I am working at night or sleeping during the day. We believe he will crawl and not scoot like Madisyn did, even though I thought it was so cute and would love to have him do it since you don't see many kids getting around that way. And he is so close to crawling too. He'll be on all fours and rock. Until Madisyn is better at picking up her small toys, we're grateful that he stays in one spot for now. She has her own purse and wallet now so she is notorious for leaving pennies around and since she loves barbie, the dolls always come with small parts like shoes or combs and they get left out occassionaly. He can sign milk and is learning mama, dada, eat, more, poop. he has four teeth. And now for Madisyn. Madisyn...what can I say. She says too much. She can count, say her alphabet with prompting, she even knows how to work daddy's iphone and I can't figure the thing out sometimes!! She can sign (and helps me teach Kian) mama, dada, more, please, thank you, yes, no, eat, milk, kiss, good night, i love you, grandma, beautiful and we are learning so many more. I got dvds and books for christmas on how to not only teach yourself but interacts with kids and makes it interesting for them as well. And now to see for yourself just how grown up my kids are getting.
