1st day of work
i just got home from my first day of work about 10 mins ago. besides being my first day of work it was also our first day of heavy snow so it took longer to get home than i expected. but i am here now safe and sound. work was slow and boring in the morning. i'm working on a no-patient care basis because i don't have my license yet to practice as a graduate nurse. but i choose a good day to start work because there was a code blue and i got to do compressions and bagging. i also got the doctors and nurses supplies when they asked, like normal saline, 2*2 gauze and the ABG (arterial blood gases) results. and the only reason i got to help with the patient was because it was an emergency and i was under the supervision of 3 doctors and 3 nurses. they threw me and another girl i graduated with a welcoming party and we had pizza and cookies. so up to the code and after the party, it was boring and i didn't do much. i hope tomorrow and the rest of the week goes better.

hi there kari lynn's friend again.... wow that is an exciting day.... i wanna work on your unit, the closest we ever get to stuff on our unit is goodies from our patients... lol none of the nurses would EVER throw a welcoming party...lol

that was me who commented on the post "pictures of guess who" thanks for commenting back.... lol OB is fun, but our units are opposite....... you say you have only few OB pts... our hospital we have TOO MANY. on a good day we have 15 deliveries... thats a good day, on a crazy day it can be upwards of 40 babes.... crazy i know.
