nothing too exciting
i had forgotten how exhausting working can be. i thought it would be easier to go back to work while i was pregnant. i figured i was on my feet all day when i was at home caring for mady, but being on my feet playing with a todler and working are definitely two different kinds of exhaustion. i learned that the hard way. i am so worn out. when i worked 7am-3pm, i would be in bed sometimes as early as 7:30 (by the way, that's mady bedtime.) now today i start the 3pm-11pm shift. i will definitely be up later but will be able to get the same amount of sleep and see more of mady and tony when he is home. i am trying to find the positives in the shift change since it has to be done and this is what i have come with. more time with family, don't have to be up at 5am anymore, mady doesn't have to be woken up at 6am to go to mimi's. when i got off at 3, i would be home by 4 and mady would be in bed by 7:30 so i only got to see her 3.5 hours. she'll be sleeping more when i work the evening shift. so i'll get to bed no later than midninght and get my 8 hours of sleep and get up with her at 8am, i'll have to leave for work at 2:30 so i'll see her for 6.5 hours. so i figure that's a bonus. it'll take some adjustment to the late nights but i think it will work out just fine for us. so, unfortunaly since all i have been doing is working, that's all i have to blog about.

what?! no more interesting work stories to share?
just joking...if the only interesting thing that happens at work is for you to end up on bed rest, i guess no news is good news, right?
enjoy your time with mady and take cat naps on the couch...20 minutes at a time and she'll never even notice.
I gotta say, not having to be up at 5 am is a pretty awesome thing :)
I too work the evening shift and think its the best shift family wise, childcare wise too... yah more tired but more worth it, but our evenings are from 330 -1130....
